Great place considering their location! They did a great job being stocked, well staffed and clean with their limited resources in Waimea Canyon. They even filled out water bottles at the bar. I consider that above and beyond. This is a must stop if you're in the area.
Ambience and setting is great. Gift shop and food prices are very steep. I’m attributing this to getting supplies to Kauai and then out to the lodge. Ordered chili, corn bread, loco moco, grilled cheese, London fog hot tea and hot chocolate. All of the food and drink was delicious. I appreciate the fact they have board games and card games to play while you wait for food and can have non electronic family time.
Amazing Pulled Pork Sandwich. Just do it.
Had great lunch and wonderful Lilikoi Pie
Sat by the fire on this crisp day. Had chili and hot cocoa. Loved this experience.
We stopped here for lunch. Neat little place with good food.
Good place to grab a beer and some food in waimeai canyon state park. Burgers are excellent
Didn't get food, but super cute shop with cute stickers and lots of chickens in front!
Started to rain, so stopped to chill by the fire in 2016. What a lovely place. Still wearing the long sleeve tee now! Mahalo
Charming. Only food stop on the Waimea canyon rd, near the top. Expensive. Usually cool and rainy. Small gift shop. Nice working fireplace. Worth a stop.
Great stop at the top of Waimea canyon drive. Food was good, bathrooms clean. Live music, good atmosphere.
The burger was a big disappointement. The fries were awful, so few on the plate. The smoothie was really excellent though and the coffee was good.
A lot of wild chickens roaming around. Feed the chickens. They are starving.
Feeding the birds and chickens was a blast! Who knew that a bag of 99-cent seed from the gift shop would bring a swarming feathered feeding frenzy! Wear a hat and long sleeves since the birdies will perch all over you.
Beautiful spot to stop and grab tea or coffee, a bite to eat, get information on a local trail, or just take in the views. Service is nice and there are restrooms available inside.
We stopped I for lunch after going to the look out. The food was amazing. Well seasoned and prob the best hamburger on the island!
Best Loco Moco I’ve tried!! Been living is Hawaii, and this is the best one. Beautiful place as well, it reminds me of Wyoming.
Great place to relax for a coffee and food after all the driving in the scenic road.
Really nice oasis on your way up wiamea canyon road to the view of the Napoli Coast. Good food at the restaurant and many picnic tables. Their warm corn bread is to die for!!!
The "Lodge" in the name is a bit misleading, as it's not actually a place to come in and sleep in a room. (It is however, where cabin guests come to get the keys to their cabins.) It's actually a restaurant with a mini shop. The shop section sells souvenirs, Hawaii products, a little bit of camping gear, and little packets of chicken feed for people to toss outside to the feral chickens. The restaurant section is fully-fledged with a generous menu of meals & specialty hot & cold drinks. Despite being the only restaurant for miles, the food selection is good. I ate there three times. For campers, it's a dining option if they get tired of (or run out of) their camp food. Some people notice there's a WiFi signal there, but it's password-protected, and a staff member told us that not even the staff are allowed to use it. (Majority of the Koke'e area has no cell reception.)
