Just driving through looking for a coffee and saw the name of the cafe and thought for sure there has to be an Aussie influence there somewhere!!! Walked in and the cafe had a great little vibe. Looked at the menu and sure enough ….vegemite on toast! Long story short, great coffee and a taste from home with some vegemite on toast. A very happy camper here🥰🥰🥰
Great spot for coffee , and super clean and modern looking spot , nice little patio, the coffee shop is part of a nice surf shop selling apparels and gears. Overall I love the vibe !
Favorite coffee shop I went to during my 9 days on the big island. Great ambience, delicious coffee and food, and a very cool connected boutique. Absolutely worth a stop!
Best cup of coffee in 5 years.
Super small lattes, at most 10oz, for almost $6. Wifi is not working while we were there too. :(
Cute small spot, good coffee and small bites.
What a lovely place with perfect coffee, delicious chia pudding and salmon toast! Absolutely recommend!
This place is a gem. Love it!
If you are looking for a "real" aussie coffee and Vegemite toast come here! It's the best coffee anywhere!! I was on the big island for just under a week! Loved avo on toast also 🤩🤩
Sharp and clean cafe with fast service and great coffee.
Some of the better coffee in the area.
Great coffee, friendly staff! A perfect stop on your way to or from the Waimea farmers markets!
Best coffee on the island. And luckily served in ceramic, not paper cups. Avocado and salmon toasts are also really delicious.
Love that there’s one of these on BI now! So yummy. Everything is delicious. We especially like the egg salad on sourdough, avocado toast and cappuccino. This particular location has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Lovely atmosphere and shares space with the next door surf shop. The staff are very kind, helpful and attentive. Mahalo!🤙
Fresh food and great beverages.
Lovely Cafe with coffee from my hometown, San Francisco...😊
If you’re a coffee-fiend and appreciate a proper espresso made with properly roasted beans; that is not oily, then make the trip here. It’s worth the journey. And you can get delicious sandwiches and pastries. This is only the second real coffee spot I’ve found on the Big Island. And ironically it was recommended to me, as the only other good coffee spot on this island, by the owner of Ka Lea in Puna. The family raises Kau coffee which I find has a deeper flavor than Kona. Seems like coffee-fiends learn where to go. Most of the Kona coffee I’ve tasted works for pour over, but not espresso. And many of the roasters on the coffee farms don’t seem to know how to roast. They roast oily coffee, even the medium roasts, and they add flavors. As a result, I’ve come to the conclusion Kona coffee at $29 for an 8 oz bag ($3.63 per oz) is over rated and no where near worth the premium price. This shop uses Sight Glass coffee, from L.A. Calif. It’s delicious, makes great espresso and a 12oz costs $1.58 per oz.
Best coffee on Big Island, first coffee that didn’t taste over-roasted.
Cool casual coffee with San Francisco based coffee - i find Kona to be almost too smooth. Their cappuccino was amazing! Also their little scones are delicious! They’re part of an outdoor supply store that’s like a mini REI.
I just moved to the Big Island from Kaua’i last night and am feeling a little out of sorts. I was greeted with smiles the moment I walked in the door. The staff is friendly and helpful. The owners are delightful. The ambiance is welcoming, very attractive and comfortable. Most importantly, my salad is exceptional and both My hot and cold beverages are delicious!!
