My fiancé and I wandered in here for breakfast while visiting Kauai for our Babymoon. We’re from Maui. Super impressed with this establishment and menu choices and service. Love the interior. Simple and calming with nice wood touches. Love the mint green color scheme. The food! I had the Macadamia nut pesto toast and my fiancé had the mushroom toast. Wow. All well worth the price. Just for reference, avocado toast in so over priced, imo, for what is actually offered and for the first time, I felt Collab’s toast options were what fancy toasts are supposed to be about and priced appropriately! Like I said, worth it. Fresh, super thick cut, nutty bread, super fresh ingredients that you can taste and lovely flavors put together. Add the poached egg! You’ll be satisfied and happy. Just all really delicious. Coffee was also delicious. We both just got a regular drip and they made sure to let us know we could have a top off free of charge bc the mugs weren’t quite 16 oz. Also, when our food was brought out they brought out 2 mushroom toasts instead of the Mac-nut that I ordered, I let them know and they were super apologetic, took it back, remade what I ordered swiftly and brought it back out. We didn’t even ask for this, but later they let us know they refunded us $2 because of the mixup. Wonderful service. When we visit again, we’ll be back and we’ll tell our friends when they island hop. Support local. Mahalo, Collab!

Best food we had on Kauai. By far! Loved that the makers were on site to tell you about their products. Everything was locally sourced and can definitely taste the impact. Each bite of food we had was delicious. The mushroom toast had fantastic rich flavor. Definitely never been so excited about a toast. The spot is cute too; a charming aesthetic. Wish we'd found it earlier in our trip!!

What a lovely place. Too bad we discovered it on our last day on the island. Everything local sourced from small local business with breads and ice cream made in house. Probably the only place where you can get rainbow road ice cream by the scoop. We also had the mac nut pesto sandwich which is totally recommended.

The bread was off the hook. I had the special which was tomato, bacon, sprouts and egg. The pour over coffee was incredible as well. Chocolatey and fruity.

Thankful to have this much needed addition to the Kapaa area. A collaboration between a local bakery, coffee roaster, and creamery the menu is focused and creative, relying on locally sourced ingredients. I tried the mushroom tartine with sautéed lions mane from Wailua, herb cheese and a soft poached egg. The presentation and taste were beautiful and balanced. Being able to add an egg to your toast is a novelty on this island. The house-made chili crunch and hibiscus jam are reasons enough for a visit.

Collab cafe is hands down the best brunch spot in Kapaa. A trifecta of creative forces have come together to offer exquisite bread from Hola Aloha, incredible craft coffee (Outpost) and delectable vegan ice cream Rainbow Rd. The mushroom toast was loaded with fresh Kauai grown mushrooms on local sourdough bread. Simply so, so yummy. Coffee exceeds every hope or expectation one could have from a cafe and Rainbow Rd. will leave you grinning like a child from ear to ear. Great food, ownership and atmosphere, inside and out. 💯 Recommend this place for brunch next time your in Kapaa/ Wailua.

As an evil foodie I came into this cafe 98% prepared to pounce on every mistake and leave a snarky, terrible review. Unfortunately, the cappuccino was expertly prepared, no bitterness from an improperly poured shot or tangy bite from burnt milk, just a smooth, rich coffee flavor beneath a beautiful silky foam with a well-practiced latte art piece to cap it off. Still, there was opportunity for vitriol with the Avo Tartine still underway. I was foiled yet again. The rustic sourdough was thick cut with a toothy chew and crispy but tender crust. Presented uniquely with tombstoned cucumber slices, a scattering of pickled onion and fresh sunflower sprouts over what seemed to be an entire avocado, I found the generous portion well worth the Kaua’i price. The avo mash was nicely seasoned, its saltiness complimenting the tart, sweet onions and sour bread. I sit here sated and caffeinated with Collab unable to be berated. In the end, I find the only promise to myself that I am able to keep in this review is a heap of snark. I’m afraid I’ll have to return again, most likely to be sorely disappointed by another uncriticizable menu item. Stay tuned for a reluctant rave about ice cream.

The best vanilla latte I’ve ever had! They use all organic ingredients and the most delicious, fresh vanilla syrup. I also got the toast with butter and jam, and the bread was so fresh and perfect. The service was also amazing and made me feel like family. 10/10 would recommend and I can’t wait to come back and try more stuff!

Collab Cafe is the best brunch spot in Kapaa! The menu is full of mouth-watering dishes, I had the opportunity to try the rye sourdough toast with mushrooms, local veggies and a poached egg 🤤. Needless to say I can’t wait to try the rest; the coffee from Outpost Coffee is exceptional. I love seeing restaurants featuring locally sourced ingredients, you can taste the difference. Loved the outdoor seating too! Make sure to stop in on your next trip to kapaa, you won’t be disappointed!
