The place to be for a bandwagoner. It’s a popular place to meet and be seen. But the food and coffee are subpar. Hailing from a state that produces coffee but serves the harshest dirt tasting house coffee and cold brew is sad. Don’t come hungry but come to sit and talk story with a good friend.
My favorite coffee shop in Oahu! Yummy coffee and food and for a reasonable price, and friendly helpful staff. Parking at this location is much easier than at their Kailua location.
We tried the vegan loco moco and the vegan banana pancakes. The loco moco was a black bean patty with thin brown gravy and lots of brown rice and micro greens. Felt like I was eating a brown rice salad and not loco moco. The pancakes were super dense and chewy, not fluffy at all. The fruit on the side was the best part of our meal. Very nice area to walk around but we'll pass on the vegan food here.
Great ambiance for meetings, meeting up or just for relaxing over coffee and breakfast
The cutest little coffee shop in Kaka’ako! Beautiful 2-story place to do homework/work and just relax. The staff is so nice and friendly. The coffee is really good! Not the best I’ve had in my life but acceptable if you’re a fresh coffee lover! I got a mocha this time but usually I stick to an americano with oat milk. I often come here before heading to Orangetheory to workout, just to waste some time and get a pick me up! My husband also loves their breakfast burritos! One thing I will say though is they never have online orders ready, in fact sometimes they don’t even notice and start working on it until you come to pickup. If you’re dining in, just order at the counter. For takeout, I don’t recommend. I’ve had a few instances where I ordered on my phone and when I went to pickup they didn’t even know there were orders waiting.
Great place, great food, excellent wifi!
Overall an amazing spot! We ordered online and by the time we entered, our food was ready. Food was delicious and fresh. It was pretty busy inside so we found a nearby covered area to eat. Highly recommend!
Always have a good experience at Morning Brew! I love when they have seasonal items - (been wanting to try the Caramel Apple Waffle for awhile now)! In the photos I got avocado toast (which comes w/ an egg) which was super yummy. Friend got the hummus + avocado sandwich (which was super yummy and came with vegetables in sandwich and a little spinach salad on the side). Grandmother got a Belgian Waffle (just asking for strawberries on top) which she really enjoy. In the other photo I got the Brew Breakfast which was pretty good and my boyfriend got the breakfast burrito which he enjoyed. (In general, while I've always thought their food is pretty good- it's always been a bit under seasoned for my taste. I do appreciate that they have hot sauce I can use.) The coffee is pretty standard here- nothing special- gets the job done. The big thing I love about this place is the copious amount of seating. There's a lot of seating available inside on the bottom floor as well as the top floor (I was a bit surprised with how little decorated and not vibey the atmosphere is up there though). Just seemed a bit desolate. There's also a couple seats outside on the lanai-area as well- which is quite nicely shaded and comfy in general. The staff has always been very lovely here. Super friendly, accommodating to requests, etc. Parking is available in SALT parking lot and Morning Brew will validate (free under an hour- more than that W/ VALIDATION will be $1).
Great lattes if you’re looking for good coffee! The breakfast was delicious.
You’ll need quarters for parking (.25 for ten minutes). The store will make change for up to a dollar. Small detail - but who wants a ticket, and who carries quarters now? The food and coffee were great. I had eggs, ham, and cheese on an everything bagel. Staff was friendly and the food was ready quickly. No bathroom - there’s a sign directing you to a nearby one.
If you need a getaway from the hustle and bustle of town. This place will definitely help you. Very friendly staff willing to help.
Love this place! It’s located in an area that tourists probably not come by because it’s pretty quite around. The cafe is big and they have good choices of brunch or breakfast. I love that they have the Thai Coconut Latte that I like because it tastes the same thing I tried in Thailand. We had salmon bagels, burritos and waffle fruits. Everything was delicious. The burrito was so so good.
My go-to for guests in the morning, or employee lunches when I treat. Good drinks, I love the breakfast burritos, or the breakfast bowls. It was great to meet the owner, Pete, he's a very nice guy and runs a successful. You can often see him straightening up tables and chairs and making the cleaning details a passionate owner would make.
I have allergies to gluten and dairy and called to make sure there were options. There was some uncertainty when i arrived with my friend, but thankfully they were not too busy yet and were able to take a little extra time to accommodate my allergies. I ordered a BALT sandwich with GF bread and they placed it on wax paper before pressing it on the grill. Turned out great! Also got a coffee with oatmilk. Will be back.
This is the last time I try this place. I've never had any problem at the Kailua location. This location repeatedly serves food that is literalky thrown together on a plate. Served with no silverware. They lost my coffee completely. I told the male server at the front. He shrugs and tells me they are busy. I did not ask for a refund. It is worth the investment to me so I'll remember to not give this place a sixth try. My bad for assuming I just got you on an off day. Nope. Consistently bad service AFTER the cashier. The cashiers ars always really nice, patient, and efficient. But that wonf sell sloppy foodgiven to you with an indifference that is pretty much apalling for a business. Good bye. I'll go to the place next door- kinda junk food, but. Cheaper, no disappointment, no 45 minute wait for something inedible.
Had the tofu scramble. Good but little hot sauce made it great !
Great ambiance, friendly staff. Lots of drink choices, and the food looked good. They make good coffee, but it was just too strong for me.
Always friendly staff, good coffee, and decent little Cafe bites. Lots of space to spread out and study for an exam or write an email. Parking isn't usually an issue, and is only 1 dollar for the first 2 hours.
Very good breakfast menu and excellent coffee. Quite busy, but they have plenty of staff to serve the crowds. The hummus 9n bagel is the best breakfast I have eaten on the island!
I ordered and iced chai latte and was given a hot latte instead. When I told the waiter he just gave me a cup of ice on the side which completely watered down the drink and got rid of the little bit of flavor it had to begin with. This place is overpriced. The food was not good at all, completely flavorless. If you are looking for a good breakfast place do not come here unless you want to be disappointed.
