Great stop on the road to/from Hana. We stopped on the way back before the crowds swamped it, and the food was tasty and fresh, the one lady working was lovely to chat with, and - although, like most stands on the road to Hana, there was no public washroom - the outdoor sink where you could wash up after eating was much appreciated. If they've got the malasadas, GET THEM. These are Portuguese/Hawaiian donuts served on a skewer and they were heavenly. They are simple (sugar coated), but fresh and perfectly fried, with a lovely, subtle hint of vanilla and rum flavour. Some of the best donuts I've ever had, and I'm from a city that is constantly patting itself on the back for its artisanal donuts. A great little stand and highly recommended, especially if you're craving some naughty hot food.
Great place!
The tacos were great. We had shaved ice as well. It's a nice stop after all the riding.
Good place to stop be for quick and tatsy bites of local food
The pork tacos just okay. The tortilla was a bit greasy. Disappointed with the beans and salsa that seemed canned and portions enough for 2 bites. And they were placed in plastic containers that seemed wasteful when they could have just put them on our plate. The juice of day was also just okay, didn’t taste fresh. The service however was friendly!
Gentilissimi e pieni di piatti
Food was expensive and just ok. Maybe it’s recently just gotten worse or they stopped caring, since reviews from before seem good. Felt like they are just taking advantage of the fact that they are in a good location on the road to Hana and are serving passable and expensive food to make money off of tourists.
Would definitely be back
Nos paramos por casualidad y fue una sorpresa muy agradable. Pedimos un taco de la casa que estaba muy bueno: jugoso, sabroso y bastante bien de precio (10$ por 2 tacos). La mujer que nos atendió fue muy simpática y amable.
Best chicken quesadilla’s ever! Who knew they were hidden her on the island of Maui on the road to Hana!
It's the first food place we saw coming Northeast and starting the Road to Hana trip. I got a kick out of it being so random, and stopped. Glad I did, it was tasty!
Great pork tacos and quesadillas!
Each menu item was roughly $10-$17. The quality of the food was great, and it's a good stop on the way to Hana. There are no public restrooms here. The cheese they use is good (although pretty sure it's just american cheese) and the cole slaw is super flavorful. The sauces at the table are great and their malasadas were perfect. The next bathroom location is about 10 minutes away at a state park, and the next food location is about 30 minutes down the road to Hana.
Wonderful service, family owned roadside dining.
Maybe the best doughnut I’ve ever had. Tacos were great too
Good Stop Shop!
Food was good. It was open and available when we needed a respite on our journey.
DA BEST!!!
Great road side stop. Delicious Banana Bread and Malasadas (small homemade donuts). Others in group had smoothies and they were good.
