Amazing service!! Food was tasty. My coffee was never empty and our water was topped up constantly. The server had a to-go coffee cup made up for me without me even asking! The views were stunning! A must-stop place if you're in the area!!

Amazing views with great food! Staff was extremely friendly as well. We got the breakfast specials for the day, as well as a cinnamon roll to share. Everything was delicious!! Definitely a must!!

A friendly quaint diner with beautiful ocean views, yummy food, and delightful service. There is a small parking lot and we were able to get one of the last available spots. Our party of 6 waited about 20min to be seated, which wasn’t long considering the limited seating. When we’re back on the Big island, we’ll definitely be back!

Located in the coffee country south of Kailua Kona, the Coffee Shack is a restaurant that offers breathtaking views of Kealakekua Bay and Mauna Loa volcano. The food, especially breakfast, is excellent, and the coffee is strong and delicious. Additionally, you'll find many little geckos that love to lick jam on the railings. However, the downside of the location is the parking, which can be terrible. To secure a spot, it's best to arrive when the restaurant opens. If you arrive later in the morning, you may need to wait for someone to leave to find a parking space. Remember, the parking situation is not ideal, so arriving early is crucial. Finally, don't forget to check out the specials board.

Get there right as they open or else you may not get parking or a table. Coffee is delicious Kona beans. Food has been good each time we’ve been there. The views are fantastic. Definitely recommended if you are in the area. Enjoy!

Stopped here for breakfast a little after 8am on a Tuesday and we were able to find parking and were seated right away. The view is amazing looking over the water and the service and food were great. My husband got a pizza with pineapple and a banana bread and I got the Papaya special. Both were very good! We'd definitely come back again.

Wow! I came here every morning. I came for the incredible views but kept coming back for the incredible food and coffee. The staff is the best. How can a place be this perfect? Somehow it never feels crowded. It's peaceful, even when it's busy. You must come here if you visit Kona. I recommend trying the daily special. They make these fresh and get their ingredients for the following week. So it's a legit daily special. The portions are big too. Don't forget to get the cheesecake.

Really good breakfast spot. They have two rooms to eat in. Both of which overlook the ocean. I got a regular latte which comes in a huge cup! We ordered the special of the day and the regular egg breakfast. Both are a big portion and were delicious. If you eat small I would recommend splitting a plate and getting a pastry.

Nice little spot with a gorgeous view! The cute little geckos come straight up the side of the building and hang out! If you have a larger party there is going to be a bit of a wait. Food was great and the service was good. The parking was the only real issue since it’s so small.

Easy parking, priced reasonably, good food, and friendly service. A beautiful spot located on the side of the mountain, amazing views of the ocean while you dine! Parking lot is a bit small so get here early! They have 2 dining areas both covered. One is open lanai style and the other is in a room with open windows. Both offer amazing views of the mountain side down to the ocean. Service is amazing! The waitstaff is attentive without being intrusive and so kind. We got the breakfast special ‘Super Pesto Scramble’ and opted for skillet potatoes. It was a large portion so we split between 2 people. The Mac nut pesto was soo good! They brought out cholula and ketchup with the order A+! Added half a papaya and Portuguese sausage on the side.

Vegetarian sandwich is amazing. Cobb salad, POG juice, and coffee are also great. Make a reservation or order take out because this place is always packed.

Loved the views and the Lilikoi cheesecake here. The sandwich was okay, not the best I’ve had.

We had a Hawaiian toast just bread no fruits, and a pizza with dough like focaccia. Food wise not impressed. To be honest, if you came for the view, maybe just get a drink.

Wait was too long (for good reason)so we opted for to go. The hot pastrami, fried egg sausage with Portuguese sausage, and iced coffees were sublime 😍. On the hot pastrami, they used a Dijon with mustard seeds that was so delicious and it came with a pickle, pepperoncini, and chips. The fried egg sandwich was one of the best my husband has ever had. Definitely worth the stop!
