Wish I could say we had a better experience, but we probably won't be revisiting. Starting with the pros: - The staff were all very kind. - We came during a Saturday brunch rush around 11:30 AM & were sat at a tiny, tiny table inside. A table outside opened up before our food came & they accommodated us in switching. It's really nice to sit under the umbrellas and just enjoy the atmosphere. I saw some reviews where people were talking about flies... I mean, yeah there's a few because you're *outside* (what do you expect?), but there were none inside. - The decor/vibe inside was nice & everything was very clean. - Their iced dirty chai was delicious. - They can accommodate dairy & gluten sensitivities, and offer a few vegetarian options. - The menu seems to have a decent variety & their cocktails look good from what I saw at nearby tables. Now for the cons: - The tiny white tables feel comically small, especially for two people. I'm 5'1" and it felt small to me so that's saying something. The bigger issue here is that they have one of those tables placed way too close to the to-go counter. People were practically standing on top of us before we were able to move outside. - Take this one with a grain of salt, because it can't be helped to an extent - but when they're busy it's quite loud inside, to the point you can barely talk to someone at your table. They could use a few more outdoor tables on the right side of the building in that middle walkway - there's room for at least 2-3 more. - Their latte left a lot to be desired. Honestly didn't even taste the coffee, just tasted like steamed milk. - While the food we had was fine, it wasn't great (some things weren't cooked correctly, e.g. over easy eggs). Just felt overpriced for what it was (we tried the middle earth bowl & rtc griddle). - Service was exceptionally slow. Granted, they were busy when we first arrived... but several tables cleared out about 15 minutes in to our visit. Coming from people who've worked f
Update: I have been a long-time customer for many years. My family loves brunch. There are many great brunch places in the area. We really like the food here. However, we don't come here as much as we used to because other places have started offering a wait list or reservations. We came here today, and it's in the low 60s with lots of wind. There were only tables available outside without a wait. We went ahead and took the table, and we were seated for about 10 mins. We asked the waitress if the heat lamp could be turned on she said no. Then two tables opened up inside. Take in mind we haven't received any food. The hostess said they had a policy that once you are seated you can't be moved. They offered blankets. Which I did take for the children. I went here on a Wednesday during lunch time. It was pretty busy, I'm sure it's insane on the weekends. I loved this place ❤️. Coffee ☕️ was good, food was amazing 👏 and service was efficient and friendly. I will definitely come here, but I will probably stick to weekdays. I really thought the El ranchero toast with shrimp addition was the highlight of the meal for me. My husband enjoyed everything and loved the middle earth bowl (grits and eggs). I probably won't order their tomato soup again, it was a little on the sweet side. We shared the mini brown sugar biscuits, and it was the perfect portion. 🥰 This place is so great, I only wish I had known about it sooner.
Love, love, love RTC. This is the best restaurant in Sugar Hill. The breakfast options are all unique and delicious with my favorite being the Fruit toast with almond butter. So filling but you don't leave feeling like you overate. The lunch options are also amazing! They are super kid friendly having outdoor seating and games there that the kids can play! The only downside is they close in the afternoon and so many times I want to go for dinner!
Lovely breakfast spot with great menu choices, high quality ingredients, friendly staff (Caitlyn was fantastic), and tasteful aesthetic. Had the Yosemite biscuit and a cinnamon maple latte, both delicious. Looking forward to trying something new next time, but would love to see a Monte Cristo on the menu!
Been there one time today and left very disappointed,we got two late and order breakfast,we wait 20 minutes and no breakfast than we ask a lady what happened to our order she said that we have to wait little bit longer another 20 minutes went by still no food so I asked to cancel the order, she called manager who he was very unprofessional and kept saying that food almost ready and we spend another 5 minutes listening to his story and left without food, very disappointed.
I usually go earlier for breakfast since brunch can a little hectic on the weekends with wait times. The food is yummy and they have a variety of coffee beverages which are also very good! They also have seasonal coffee drinks. I had the garden cookie cold brew (lavender and hazelnut syrup in cold brew coffee). Seating is very limited as the restaurant is on the smaller side. There is also seating outside.
Absolutely the best brunch option around. Middle earth bowl is my favorite. Their stuffed French toast is amazing. Ive never been appointed by anything I had. Lavender latte is my go to drink. Love love I've it here. Reservations needed for weekends.
Wow… Super service at Rushing! Our waitress/server was named Araceli and she did an outstanding job on taking care of us. Friendly, outgoing and attentive to our table. We also met two other servers who said hello and they were doing a great job with their tables. Zara and America both of them had great attitudes also. Great food recommendations from Araceli . A great experience throughout! Thanks!!!
I was a witness of the craziest scene ever, this guy was setting at the bar because the tables were full a few tables got empty a while after then we asked the waitress if he could set at one of the tables but she refused then he asked for the manager that refused then he asked if the tables were booked but he said no and told the customer he can’t switch from bar to a table and he did not even care if the customer canceled the order, I have no idea how did this guy even became a manager with this awful attitude, if this is how all customers are treated I doubt this business would last long or maybe it was because the buy has a middle eastern accent.
They sat us inside at the bar as all tables were occupied at the moment, after about 10 minutes ,2-3 tables got empty ( and they were NOT reserved) and we asked to be seated on the table before our food arrives as the bar stools were not very comfortable to sit and eat there. But the hostess refused to reseat us and when we talked to the manager he also refused to seat us at a table and also the manager was a little rude as he asked us to cancel the order if we want and just pay for the coffee, but we took the food to go but i wish i did not take it. The food was good but the service was horrible( so total experience is not worth it).
This was absolutely the best biscuit in Georgia by far. Totally made from scratch, a true baker!! We have tried so many that claim there's are the best but this one stands above them all!! Everything we have tried their is superb! Great atmosphere, worth the price! Really awesome food!!
Rushing has some amazing coffee , my wife would tell you they have amazing mimosas , I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Our waitress was great and asked us if we wanted to play a game , she would bring out different flavors of mimosas and we would have to guess the flavor , we weren't very good at it but still made it a great experience for us .
If you’re looking for an incredible brunch spot, this is it! From the moment I walked in to everything I ordered, quality was absolutely stellar. The friendly staff, the beautiful design of the restaurant, the selection and stories behind the menu items, the latte and art, the smells, food, atmosphere, it was unforgettable. I don’t usually like grits but they were amazing here, the biscuit was great, and YOU HAVE to try the French toast. The presentation was beautifully crafted on custom wood from a local woodworker, the drinks were refreshing and you could tell the ingredients in everything was fresh and never frozen. The quality impressed me, it was well worth the wait for a table. The next time anyone asks me what a decent brunch spot is, this will easily be my go-to. 5 stars!
Booked the place for an after hours networking session. The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was delightful.
I would have given a higher rating but some things took away from that. Majority of the meals that included meat only had pork. I dont eat pork and I didnt want to eat the salmon nor the chicken salad sandwich. The waitress said they didnt have any turkey, chicken or beef to substitute. Big bummer. Other things included waiting too long for the waitress to come over, empty plates sitting on the table. You hate coming to a restaurant and having to chase the person serving you. It dont hurt to walk by every 5-7 minutes. However, the food that we did order was great. The atmosphere is great. I cant say I wont be back because I always try a restaurant twice before writing it off completely.
I went for breakfast early on a Monday morning (it was a lesser national holiday early in 2023, I can't quite remember which one). It's a small, cozy place with a really aesthetically-pleasing atmosphere. The food was really delicious, and I really appreciated that it was portioned in a way that didn't feel unnecessarily heavy in my stomach. My favorite part was how they served my tea. Unfortunately, I was so excited that I forgot to take a photo, so let me try to explain. They had a wooden, rectangular serving board with a tea pot on one end, a small silver dish in the middle for the milk, and a beaker of honey on the left. Being able to make my own tea with such high-quality ingredients was almost a spiritual experience for me. Our waitress was also so, so sweet. She checked on us every so often to let us know how much longer it would be before we received our food, and once we did receive it, she made sure we were enjoying every so often. The food did take a bit of time to come out, but the atmosphere was so cozy that I honestly didn't notice. I really enjoyed sipping my tea and conversing with my father while we waited. I can tell that a lot of care and love was poured into the restaurant and menu. I would absolutely recommend coming here for a smooth and pleasing dining experience.
Food is great and coffee is amazing. Service is always friendly. Can be a little pricey, but in this case you get what you pay for.
The service and the food were excellent. This is one of those places where you can literally taste the freshness in their ingredients. Everyone was super friendly and eager to help. Can't wait to go again!
Cute cafe - can be a little pricey, but the atmosphere is worth paying for. It’s not a big space though, if you are in a group larger than 4, might be difficult to find a spot.
Rushing is ran like a well oiled machine. I went in during the lunch hour and it was absolutely packed. (Good sign!) Yet there was no wait and the staff was so attentive as if I were the only person in the shop. Hats off to Jason Hines who was in the trenches with the staff making things happen. Cannot recommend enough!
