Nice coffee shop. Best hot chocolate I've had at a coffee place. Wife got a frappe equivalent, which was tasty, but a little light on coffee flavor. Would be 5 stars overall if the drinks were stronger.
It is a great place to hang out or work
Roomy coffee shop with chill vibe. Staff this morning seemed somewhat indifferent to the handful of customers they had, like they were just going through the motions. The food, however, is fantastic and the biscuit was one of the best I've ever had! Coffee was smooth and delicious, and really neat to see their story posted on the wall.
Heard this was a local favorite and was very disappointed. The quality of coffee was just bad. We had ordered a mocha and a hot cocoa and they were nearly indistinguishable. Could not even taste the espresso or milk given how watery it was. Hot cocoa also came cold the first time so we had to reorder it. They also left the mocha on the counter without calling it again so we waited forever for it. On top of that their processing of orders was very inefficient. It was a busy day but there were too many red flags to give it a pass for it.
The coffee was good, but the service was terrible. The sandwich that I ordered was literally frozen in the middle, and I had to make multiple trips to the counter to request the items they either didn’t make or got incorrect.
Always stop here when passing through Macon. Nice baristas and good quality coffee.
I come here all the time while the coffees good they only ever have 1 or 2 people working. The staff is super nice but i waited for 15 minutes without being able to place an order. I really think more than 2 people should be working especially on a Saturday.
I don’t know. Coffee is hot, a little bland. Barista didn’t speak a single word to me the entire transaction. Maybe a bad day. This is about the only option left for coffee downtown but I’ve yet to feel it’s recommendable or maybe I’m just spoiled by cafes in Latin America?
I'm only giving this place two stars because the staff was nice. Hopefully this was a one-off, but this happened to be my first time here and I was very disappointed. The mocha I ordered tasted like burnt chocolate, meaning they're probably brewing the espresso at too high a temp. To top off the bad experience, I ordered a chicken salad croissant sandwich and a cookie, and they were both expired!!! Look, I understand not wanting to throw out food due to profit loss, but that's just part of the business. Just because a holiday fell around the expiration date, it doesn't make the food last longer. But what I'm most disappointed with is that they just covered up the old expiration sticker with a later dated sticker to make it look like it would last another week so they would be able to make money off it. That certainly didn't work though, I smelled them both and knew right away that something was off. Sadly I just took my order and left because I was just stopping by on my road trip and I didn't get a chance to ask for different items or a refund. This is definitely one coffee shop I cannot recommend to anyone....
Z Beans is a great coffee spot! Good coffee and Great service!
A clean, well-lighted place in the heart of downtown Macon. Simple, modern decor with photos exploring the Equadorian origins of the company’s coffee. Enjoyed a couple of excellent, well-prepared lattes. The baristas were friendly and well informed. Overall a super pleasant experience, will definitely return frequently during my stay.
Hands down the best coffee I've had at any of the local coffee shops while traveling through Macon. If I lived here..Z Beans would definitely be my go to. I will be back.
Amazing coffee and super good service !
Outstanding service and the coffee was fantastic. I had a cappuccino then took a black to go! Very good, I highly recommend. The two nice workers were very friendly and prompt.
PEOPLE! The people here are amazing. Visiting from Oklahoma and they are the definition of Southern Hospitality. Great food and coffee. Don’t let the construction detour you!
Went today for the first time for breakfast. Bad experience. No OJ, No croissants. No Bacon and egg biscuits. Worst of all no apple fritters. Don’t think I’m going back again.
I used to work at the production house not a bad group of people to work with and an amazing team hope to see y'all again one day
Coffee was great and quick bites were just what we needed on the road.
Kass and Presteen are truly the reasons I’m alive at work everyday. Exceptional service, great personalities, and they obviously care a ton about the customer experience! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
Nice little place, very good coffee, good service and cozy.
