Immaculate. Great food. Great people. The fried fish and fried chicken were unbelievable. I suggest trying everything if your stomach can handle it. Glen [husband of original owner's granddaughter]was so so sweet ❤️
Don't believe the HYPE I was so disappointed the videos on Facebook are deceiving. The bake macaroni was awful. It seems like they make sure everything looks good for the videos and it's terrible. Don't waste your TIME OR MONEY. The best saying to describe this restaurant "everything that glitters isn't gold" it looks good but it's terrible. Dry, salty, or too sweet. The only thing that was good in there was fried chicken and the have flies that sit on the food. Just don't do it!
DW best friend recommended Izola's to us. We arrived early since we didn't know their routine. DW had baked chicken and I had fried porkchop. We both had dumplins, dressing, cornbread & tea. The dressing was OUTSTANDING!! The owner Glenn (pictured with DW) told us it was a family recipe over 100 years old. He took time to ask how did we enjoy our meal and visit with us. Our waitress was extra nice and helpful also. We plan to return next month when we are back in town.
Rice and gravy and the collards were good. Pinto beans were great. Everything else was average.
Amazing food that tastes homemade. The staff was welcoming, sweet and made you feel at home. My picky eaters loved the food as well.

Great experience this afternoon! My family and I had lunch and enjoyed the buffet. We had the Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, stuffing, fried chicken, and baked chicken, just to name some of the delicious food we had. The price was amazing for the amount of food that we received and the waitress was so personable. The decor was fascinating as well, so much history. I would def recommend!
My nephew that is stationed here in Savannah brought us. I would never have tried it on my own, but it sure exceeded all our expectations! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was very interesting Everyone was very nice !

I had bad service today. I came to pick up an online order that was not ready. However the server started fixing my food. An older lady with glasses (didn’t get her name) said no don’t fix her food just the walk-ins first. I was highly offended! I ordered my food before everyone else and she stop the server from fixing my food. The server said I put in my order first and it wasn’t right! I told them to cancel my food because this was wrong and disrespectful. I would not recommend the place because I wasn’t treated fairly and the food is not that good anymore. I was picking up the order for some one else. Also they give you very small portions for the price. It is not worth it. They need to come off their high horse and appreciate every customer no matter who they are!
This was my second time coming here. Both times were great. I recommend eat here. Try the fried fish.
What a wonderful experience. The food was excellent!!! The service was great A must do if you’re in the area. We drove from central Florida and we were not disappointed.

I’ve seen this place on TikTok for a while now and thankfully since I live in Statesboro I’m not too far away, I just made the drive and I have to say the food and service was phenomenal. I’m about to turn around and get more before I leave Hinesville!!! 10/10 spot and I will definitely be back. As someone from Texas I think this is some of the best BBQ/Louisiana style food I’ve ever had. Thank you Izolas!

This is the spot for classic southern cooking! Great fried chicken and amazing sides. There Baked Beans are some of the best I've ever had. Then you add some funky New Orleans inspired decor and the friendliest staff... definite winner
Now this was a place for me to go a very pleasant atmosphere Pleasant staff great service very pleasant atmosphere and the food was fantastic. This is a must see go when you are passing through if you want a great meal this is where you will get it
Bad customer food service and the food is a hit or miss with a lot more of a miss. I am definitely not going back. 😝🤮
For it to be buffet, you could tell the food was sitting for a while. Chicken was tough, rice was mushy. The only thing good was the drink.
