What a GREAT little coffee shop! It’s so cozy here - the mood is perfect to grab a cuppa with friends or just hang out and get some work done while snacking on a muffin (that’s what I did). There is also some REALLY cute jewelry made by the owner’s wife for sale - picked up a necklace and a bracelet while I was there. Excellent service, bites to eat, and of course, coffee!
Stopped in for a cup of coffee. Really liked the Jittery Joe's coffee they serve. Looking forward to going back and trying their chicken salad.
I just got a scoop of jalapeño pimento cheese for $5.30. It was super yummy. The coffe and tea are also really good!
Have been here for lunch a few times and recently had my beautiful wife's surprise 40th birthday party as well. Lawrence and his staff are amazing as always.

Friendly staff, nice ambiance but food selection is VERY limited. Nothing but fattening pastries. I’d go more often if they had healthy breakfast options.

Ok atmosphere, definitely needs better sitting arrangements inside and out. The reason for the low review is due to the cost of the alcohol. Four drinks roughly cost ~$35. No sense in charging for the entire pack with one beer.
BUYER and PIEDMONT STUDENTS BEWARE This morning as I left my class the owner of Temperance House Fine Coffee blocked in my car with his Tahoe and an orange traffic cone he placed behind my bumper. I was parked in open parking in a lot reserved for students with my pass displayed on my car. There is NO SIGNAGE indicating that this particular spot next to the Temperance House is reserved. On instinct I went into the Temperance House to inquire on the ownership of said Tahoe. The owner of this establishment verbally assaulted me for parking in “his space” and that there is plenty of spaces to park. I apologized for the inconvenience and remarked that there is no signage. He continued to yell at me. I remarked that I am new this semester and was unaware of any reserved places with the exception of those that are marked and maintained this was unmarked. He followed me out to my car, removed the cone and continued to berate me saying if I had been going to Piedmont for the last 3 weeks did I not notice his car in that space (mind you there are at least 50 spaces in this student lot). As he continued to yell at me and started to get into his vehicle I stated that his behavior was incredibly unprofessional and that I would not frequent his establishment he responded by yelling GOOD! I ask you, how is this displaying temperance?! Had I not been a 43 year old with life experience I would have been more shaken. His physically blocking me in and verbal assault would have frightened a 17 year old freshman. So as you walk into the Temperance House, keep in mind who you are patronizing as he is ok acting incredibly inappropriate and openly aggressive with a Piedmont Student.
Owner has been caught berating multiple women including a college student. Complete joke
A most charming, delightful and tasty visit! The host and hostess were wonderful to visit with and learn a little more about the area and history. This is a gem in Demorest ⭐️
Our first time in and we will definitely be back! We were greeted by the owner and enjoyed chatting with him while we ordered. My latte was great and the cheese danish was warmed and served on a plate with a real fork (not plastic). The unsweet ice tea is not fresh brewed, it is Milo's brand but it was good. Quaint decor, we enjoyed it!
