Tasty Q! This place hits every time. On my last visit I chose the pulled pork and sliced brisket, and had Mac & Cheese and Black-eyed Peas on the side. Writing this makes me want to return much sooner than later. As long as they keep cranking out good Q, and don’t fall into the trap of short cutting that some other places find themselves caught by, Community Q should be around for a long time.
Very pricey meat was good sides not so much Mac b cheese was awful. No cheese
Great food, absolutely delicious. 💯
Consistently good 'cue. Beef brisket smoked to perfection. Sides are consistently good. Parking lot is a mess. Don't wait too late in the day as they frequently run out of one or more of the meats.
Excellent brisket, not too fatty, just enough. Collard greens and black eyed peas were fantastic. Two toasted slices of bread on the side was a nice bonus and for the prices going up at all the restaurants these days, it was quite an appropriately priced meal in my opinion. Also, the customer service was great, food came out quickly with a smile and they were by to clean up the table promptly after.
Everything tasted good. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich. I originally came for half bird but they were sold out of that menu item
I love pulled pork, have always been a big fan of Memphis pit, but Community’s is the best pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had, hands down. Not a lot of burnt bits, which I appreciated. Also loved the sweet potato and braised kale (which doesn’t make it a “concept” side, lol). Just wish there was a bit more kale in it. The baked beans were so peppery I could only tolerate 3 bites. A reviewer from Texas said this wasn’t really bbq, which is hilarious because as we were chowing down on our sandwiches, we were talking about Texas bbq, how bad it is and that it’s just bigger, not better.
I have been going here for at least 8 years now and the bbq is great.
This food was soooo yummy! I've been searching for brisket and Brunswick stew. The brisket was A1, St Louis Ribs very tender and delicious, Mac and cheese made with real butter lack salt and pepper but I get it trying to cater to everyone, greens were decent I would get them again. Smoke chicken, pulled chicken and fries. Lordt, I want some more while writing this, lol! The Brunswick stew is a no for me. It wasn't the best, worst, or will do, just not like Brunswick stew I'm used to. I definitely recommend it, and we will go back. Oh, bbq sauce finger licking good! I don't think I've ever given a 5 star, but today is the day!
I went last night with my friend and the food was O.K. a little dry but the flavor was OK at best, could have been more seasonsed. Our biggest complaint, and why I wouldn't recommend this joint is the service provided to the guests. The general vibe of the workers were all mad/bad mood. I'm not expecting Disney greetings or treatment but we did not feel welcomed or treated well in the least bit. It felt like all the workers were mad for some reason.
I can't say enough good things about Community Q! I used them for catering and they were extremely helpful in coming up with a menu for 24 people for an event at my house. And the food was delicious! The mac and cheese is a "must have" and all of the meats, especially the brisket and pulled pork, were incredibly good (along with the sauces). All of the other sides were superb! At the time of my event, they didn't have enough staff to deliver and set up (on a Saturday) but, as I was setting up the party all by myself, I told them I had had to have the food "ready to go, precisely at 4:30pm." And they did - helped me load it and I was on my way. Even gave me a chafing dish/sterno tutorial! I absolutely recommend Community Q and will use them again - for catering and eating at the restaurant.
Some of the best bbq you will ever have
Best mac and cheese in the city (though too buttery for some). Meats are also decent, though you'll sometimes get too dry a brisket.
Prices are extortion. I have never spent $50 on a sandwich served on paper before. (A couple) No alcohol. Terrific food, but a bit pricey.
My uncle owned a BBQ joint, so I can be a little picky about how BBQ is “supposed” to taste. This place is delicious! We grabbed pulled pork sandwiches, Mac, black eye peas, and potato salad. I was very impressed! Their BBQ sauce is quite yummy! Thank you Community Q!
Been coming here for years! This isn't a "concept". The bbq is straightforward and good. Really like the ribs here. The smoked sweet potatoes are excellent and the macaroni and cheese is great. Even the kitchen sink salad is super solid.
Really good smoked chicken. Every side I've had here has been otherworldly good - collards, fries, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, Brunswick stew. The sides and the sweet tea are definitely the stars of the show. Recommended.
I love this place. Great place to grab some southern bbq and mac and cheese.
My family and I ate here for the first time. We tried ribs, brisket, pulled pork, Mac n cheese, collard green, baked beans. Everything was good. Mac n cheese was especially good
Best barbeque in town, hands down. I love this place. The food is absolutely delicious and they actually have healthy options to include smoked sweet potato and kale. That, combined with the half chicken is my favorite. The service is always fast and professional. I ordered the wrong salad by mistake today and Andrew replaced it with the one that I wanted initially, no questions asked, at no charge. The baked beans and macaroni and cheese are delicious as well. The chicken is always smoked to tender perfection. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Great food, staff and service! Always!
