Speed Trap and two of the other guest in our party received traffic tickets. The down town is beautiful and Fort King George was a great fine. Not many visitors and I some that up to the police state in the county. No one visiting but they have great new police cars from the thousands of tickets. Don’t come here
For those looking for a spot to just hang out, drink coffee, and be on the internet, COME HERE. There is a statue of the Altamaha-ha, a coffee bar, internet, places to sit, and no one else to bother you! The coffee isn't the best but they have the basics. The staff won't bother you and are friendly! Look at my other reviews and you'll see I'm pretty opinionated when reviewing and want to be truthful. The only think you'll have to deal with is the sounds from the videos playing educational stuff about the town. I'd call this a hidden "gem" in the rough. Young people could use it as a hangout spot to play games like DnD, board games, ect. The central table is big enough. Just make sure to ask if it would be ok. I don't want to just assume. I'm sure getting more business and donations could really help too.
Great welcome center with clean restroom and water bottle filler. Great information on things to do in coastal Georgia! Jennifer was working and was so helpful today!

Great service and a beautiful new building. Staff were very friendly and coffee was great. This is the perfect addition to McIntosh County. Darien is such an amazing and historical place going through well-planned growth while maintaining that small town feel.
