I went here for the first time this morning, and the experience was awesome! They were extremely helpful and the vibes were immaculate. I’ll definitely be coming back. P.s. the hot matcha latte with lavender tastes & smells just like fruit loops❤️
Great coffee and breakfast, however multiple times I have showed up on an Open day and they are closed without any notice. It’s very disappointing to show up thinking they are open. Also please be open more than 3 days a week and on sundays.
Outstanding local coffee, tea and snacks. Service is exceptional and personal (recognize their customers even if they haven't been in a while). Make sure to visit this Chamblee staple for something warm and comfy.
Amazing customer service and great coffee! Their pastries are really good too, I suggest the hummingbird bread when they have it!
Nice ancient architecture 😍 Ambience is soo good that it made me choose lavender macchiato give a try and I loved it sooo soothing made my day 💕😋 The money plant trees hanged in gold pots are 💕 love 🫶🏻wishing good luck 🍀 will visit again 👋
Love moonbird! Their iced chai is perhaps the best I’ve ever had. And the lemon scone 😍. The owners are so lovely and the whole vibe of the place is great
Moonbird is a gem of a coffee shop in downtown Chamblee. The owners are amazing and you can't beat the prices. The assortment of flavors are always exciting and I love trying new things! I wish they were open a little later in the day but it's okay :) the breakfast burritos are amazing but they sell out fast!
Nice place to have a meeting. Great coffee, good food options, and not too loud!
The pastries are cooked in a kitchen full of cats. It’s disgusting. I would not recommend
Drove 40 min for a meeting on a Thursday and it’s closed… checked their IG and every 5th post says they are closed… for something… crazy a business can survive like this. As consumers we’ve really lowered the bar 🤦♂️
Not terrible. I got a chai latte & red velvet muffin. Not my favorite chai. It tasted mostly milk & I asked for it to be made with half & half which is usually not an issue flavor wise. The muffin was just okay. I love the interior and plenty of seating both indoor and out. I can’t tell if it’s really a functioning bar so I would keep that in mind if you’re expecting more. The menu is pretty brief and the baked goods don’t seem to be made in house or very fresh (that doesn’t always matter much to me, as long as it’s good)
Always has great coffee and atmosphere
Moonbird is the best! At least once a week, we walk there from our house with our pup, Winston, and we always enjoy breakfast burritos and delicious lattes on their patio. We feel valued as customers by the two fabulous owners, who always ask about Winston and give us water for him. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our routine, we love y’all!
Nice spot, operates as Moonbird during the day and closes right around noon. Coffee is always good, the burrito we had last time was great, and the service was delightful!
Love the accent brick walls throughout the building, adding an urban loft feel to your coffee sips. Things you should know: I. PARKING The coffee shop is within downtown Chamblee, but luckily you don't have to parallel park. There's a free private parking lot out back ~ easy. II. SERVICE Personable and welcoming. They'll make you feel at home. Keep in mind they close at 11:30 a.m. so don't wait to get your coffee kick in. III. QUALITY The pastries are made fresh inhouse ~ I got the ginger lemon scone. It's light and not too sweet. If you want something sweeter, go for a muffins. The coffee is standard, but I loved getting the option of 3 to 4 shots in my iced Americano. Not many locations ask in that way. IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of available seats, but they fill almost up around 10 a.m. People camp out here to work/study so don't feel judged if you want to do the same..!
This place is such an awesome start to a day. Aside from the coffee and the service, the building offers a warm feel to "wake up with." Perfect ambiance for a smooth start. Plenty of parking and seats. Try these ladies out definitely. Perfect espresso!!
Wow, I can not believe how community hyped this place up so much that it is almost misleading! I wanted to try based on comments. I thought it is a cool breakfast +coffee place. When you enter you see nice concept and bar area with so many alcoholic drinks and you think is this a restaurant?? Maybe sometimes. But, then you look at the menu and they only have coffee and limited pasteries (I believe they are not baked by them) It is almost grab your coffee and go concept. For a place closing at 11.30 am. i would expect them to offer some specialty breakfast sandwiches or at least featured baked goods, but NO, they do not. They should really create a better menu. Coffee was good! That’s why, I give three stars.
Great vibe and cardamom vanilla latte! The internet is fast and the music is the right volume such that you can listen to it if you want to but it's not too loud where you can't take phone calls. There are no outlets however so bring a fully charged laptop if you're planning on working there. The breakfast burrito was also a nice single-portion size.
Update: indoor seating now available as well as outdoor seating. Still a wonderful morning stopping point. Their breakfast burritos are delicious. It is in the same space as the restaurant, Southbound.
They know my name! The quintessential local coffee spot with friends behind the bar, awesome breakfast burritos, and delicious coffee. I take many meetings here and make it my first stop of the day every Wednesday through Saturday. Highly recommended!
