I thoroughly enjoyed this coffee shop. It is black owned and truly a nice vibe. Great for a date night or friends night out. I really enjoyed the coffee and plan to try the food next time which I’m sure is delish. They also allow people to go and do open poetry/open mic on Wednesdays which is so fun! 10/10

I left here feeling ripped off and noticed several red flags. First red flag, the menu didn't have prices on it. You have to have the worker ring it up to get a price on anything. That's a bit ridiculous. I shouldn't have to filter through the barista about what I can or am willing to spend. Not sure if they think that's cute or if business planning is so poor that they cannot commit to pricing the items. I mean you're not re-inventing the wheel here. It's a coffee shop. Coffee shops have been done thousands of times. If they are unsure, it seems there are plenty of examples for them to copy and paste until they figure it out. Second red flag, worker was not pleasant. A coffee shop should have pleasant people as grabbing coffee and tea are pleasant little rituals that people should enjoy. Third, $11 for avocado toast on store bought bread and store bought avocado spread. It was gross. I suggest either come up with fresh recipes or charge a price that makes sense for what you're offering. The Daily offers avocado toast for $8 on fresh baked bread with fresh avocados. To think your customers lack the discernment to recognize prepackaged avocado spread is insulting. I spent literally $20 for a matcha and avocado toast that was not even good. Lastly, when my drink was ready it was placed at the end of the bar, and the barista didn't bother to let me know. No, it was not a busy day. It felt like she just did not GAF. Overall, this place did not give me good feels. There are way too many good coffee shops and cafes in the city like Little Tart and the Daily. I hope they take the feedback and do better.

**awesome**!! 🖤 Supercute coffee shop - all exposed brick & comfy seating - in the shadow of the stunning Mercedes Benz stadium. The menu is FULL of unique espresso drinks that you just don't see at other places, and it's absolutely clear that they use tip-top quality beans & roasts. They were out of sparkling water to make the Carl's Fizzy that I initially ordered, but the Salt Bae plan B was totally delish replacement, and the Bodega sammich was *bomb* I'll definitely be back any time I return to Atlanta!

Cool atmosphere, and coffee was good, but doesn't list prices, is very overpriced, and turning out food is super slow.

Usually don’t write reviews, but my friends and I waited an hour and a half to get our order, which was just a drink and a sandwich each. I understand that the worker that day was a little overworked, but he also messed up 2 out of our 3 orders, even after asking us multiple times over the course of the wait for clarifications. However, after waiting for so long, we just decided to take the orders and leave of course. Even still, I wouldn’t be writing this review if not for the fact that this place is so expensive. I paid over 40 bucks for literally two coffees and two croissant sandwiches basically. Yes, the ambiance was nice and while the service was very poor, the server himself was at least nice and apologetic. But for those prices, the experience was no where near worth it or justifiable.

For the culture. I visited Black Coffee as part of an RHOA crawl while in town for business (they were featured on the show). Besides an absolutely gorgeous staff, it’s a quaint coffee shop blocks away from the new Georgiadome and Kandi & Todd’s OLG. I got the Portuguese in Love Latte, which was as good as you’d expect. “Parent’hood” was playing on TV, and they had what looked to be a small stage for concerts or open-mics. All in all, I’d definitely return when I’m in town.

This is what a coffee shop should feel like. Good music at a comfortable volume. Lighting that isn't jarring and in your face. Ample seating with outlets. Local art on whe walls. Ambiance A+ 100% And then there's the coffee. An informed and evolving exclusive menu. Black excellence.

Very expensive. I ordered two Portuguese lattes and two breakfast sandwiches and the total was $40. There are no prices on the menu and they charged for each item that should already be included in the breakfast sandwich (ie cheese, bacon, croissant). My experience would have been better if there was more transparency and I knew the prices before I ordered. Parking was difficult since the parking lot is very small and there are only a few spots reserved for Black Coffee.

Sleek and sexy. Black Coffee is the perfect place for meetings, homework or remote office things. Service and food are superb. Hey had the chicken person in the best croissant ever! Menu is affordable and delicious. I’m coming here for all my coffee shop needs!!!!!

Visited this location for the first time. The young lady that took my order had a nonchalant attitude. She wasn't rude, but was very pleasant either. I ordered an iced French vanilla Chai tea latte with oak milk. Sad to say my latte was not good at all. I ended up throwing it away. I want to give this coffee shop another chance.

We got the ATL, a Blueberry muffin, black coffee, and caramel macchiato. Everything was delicious and the service was quick with very friendly staff. Also love that their boxes are compostable and they have locally owned businesses selling products there.

They really put the Black in Black Excellence with this coffee shop. Great setup, with plenty of seating, outlets galore, not to mention the food, drinks, and service never lacks. I really enjoy coming here. I’ve tried the bodega, the waffle Jane, and the grown pb&j they were all a 10 out of 10. Will is there in the mornings he is always helpful and makes great food and beverage selections. This place is filled with black entrepreneurs and business people. I hope I get to come back and edit this comment but my only complaint is the Wi-Fi could be a little better, but I will still come here everyday. To come bounce back from the Wi-Fi comment, they do have hookah so bring your mobile hotspot and chill.

Came here for a break from touring the city, but was really frustrated trying to find parking. They only have 2 spots in the lot and rest were assigned to other businesses. There’s a lot across the street that charges 20 dollar. I was not going to pay 20 dollars on top of a cup of coffee. This is probably just me being dumb but we had to try 3, 4 doors before finding the right one to enter. Ordered Portuguese in love that was recommended by the barista. It was pretty good but could not taste the coffee or any flavors outside of it being sweet.

I went to explore downtown ATL on a whim and went looking for a black owned coffee shop and I’m genuinely impressed by this cute shop! The ambience, the patrons, the music all great vibes. The barista Craig was amazing! He recommended the Portuguese In Love Latte and I am living! I got a grilled cheese too and added some bacon and it’s so delicious. I will absolutely come back again and again. 🫶🏾
