I Was just in there and the Baristas (short skinny black dude with tats on his fore arms, and skinny white chick, dark hair and with too much eye liner) have a terrible demeanor and act like they don’t wanna be or work there. Also, Why have such a small place and not allow people at the bar when it’s not even at half capacity. Terrible staff, tiny local, ok coffee. Do better. Edit: after reading some of the other bad reviews it’s evident they always have the same issues with the bartenders, and don’t do a thing to make things better. This problem obviously stems all the way up from management. Probably hiring friends or people they know making this a reoccurring problem.
One of my favorite restaurants! I highly recommend the hummus appetizer and the spicy seafood dip appetizer, you can never go wrong with those! The vibe of the restaurant is so unique and lovely. Staff is very friendly as well. Sit outside on the patio if you can! It makes me feel like I’m on the streets of Paris. ☺️
Just had a great meal at Cafe Intermezzo. Attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. The GM and manager stopped by to see if we needed anything. Very nice. We left with a delicious latte "to go" but we will be back to enjoy many more meals in the near future.
We enjoyed our Mother's Day Brunch. 3 Generations. We've been eating there for years and the brunch has always been great. We do prefer their outside seating.
We stopped in for dessert; so delicious. We will be back for dinner!
Quality of food excellent excellent price quality They’re are more variety the drinks are very good and the service very fast the only sore point is perhaps a little too long for a table, so I recommend booking in advance
As always cakes were delicious. Service was good except a mistake as giving me a bill that was not ours. Once that was sorted out, everything was good.
Food is always great and the waiters are always amazing.There's usually not a long wait time during the week (20 mins if it's lunch time) but of course on Saturday and Sunday.... there is a bit of a wait but you simply put your name on list and you can walk around the avalon which is nice. Also I've noticed that if you pay attention while using the restroom, you can hear french language lessons. A cool, unexpected touch.
Visited for the weekend, and enjoyed the scenes and food. Intermezzo is always amazing, coffee and deserts are next level.
Great little place to grab a bite or a hot cappuccino. Cappuccino was well done and perfect. Highly recommend their coffee selections.
This was my second time here, ıts a lovely european coffee house, enjoyed our coffee with lemon cake, service was great.
Only had coffee and dessert, but looking forward to trying other menu items. We had excellent bar service
Really intimate, delicious and special way to end a date night or just to connect with someone. The atmosphere is perfect for nice conversation. Desserts are delicious. The hazelnut/banana crepe is divine. I will be thinking of this delicious dessert in the coming weeks. Service is good. cash only. I have to admit I haven't eaten a proper meal here but would like to try. Large selection of alcohol as well. We are never disappointed in cafe Intermezzo.
I really love the desserts here and the coffee is incredibly delicious, but I can't say the same about the service. Unfortunately every time I come across rude staff and very slow service. The bartender is completely unresponsive to orders. As a rule, I spend at least 30 minutes just to get coffee and dessert to go.
Hello my name is Charlie , I am a regular here and I have to say I couldn’t stand seeing this man with this hat on.. is it even covering his hair ? Isn’t that against health code ? I suggest you guys talk to this guy about wearing a bigger hat or atleast a hairnet … thank you . service is okay unless you sit at the bar where you get a very rude bartender that is bothered by everything you say . Food is great

This place is absolutely incredible! what a gem 💎 they don’t have reservations, first come first served. it was an hour wait on a Saturday night which is the busiest, but you can always choose to sit at the bar and save the wait time. Their tomato 🍅 soup was the best!!! So as tomato basil 🌿 balsamic vinegar side for the hamburger 🍔 which we enjoyed a lot, medium-well! and a classic Caesar salad was just as you’d expect it to be. Cafe latte, strong and creamy was perfect and Bosco berry cake 🫐 🍰 was an absolute highlight of the dinner! atmosphere was great - pay attention to the chandeliers and all the details of the interior - it looks great! and of course, servers were nice and friendly, making our experience really nice and pleasant! looking forward to coming back to this place again!
Quite surprised by how good the food is here. Thought it was just cafe that served the usual sandwiches. My husband loved their espresso martinis and I had the chicken crepe. Will bring our son with us the next time!
First time dining here and I loved every minute of it! Our server Meghan was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items. I love going to restaurants where the server can recommend great choices, and she did exactly that! The only negative I have is that I would have liked the cappuccino I ordered to be more hot. It was a little lukewarm. I loved the ambiance of the place. We had a table seat outside and we were able to chill and people watch at the same time. I would highly recommend visiting this establishment. I will definitely be returning! Ask for Meghan when you visit!
I wanted to enjoy this place as I do the location in Midtown, but not this time. I’d try it again though. It’s a very tiny place and on this day it was rainy so outside option wasn’t available. The service was just okay - the server didn’t seem prepared to share the daily specials and didn’t have many answers to our questions on the menu. She had too much delay coming back to table to take order or follow up on questions. The food was mediocre …. The pasta for me was okay -more sauce than I prefer and it is spicy as described. The coffee drink I ordered was just okay as well.
