It was a treat to walk down memory lane at this restaurant! I worked at this location about 15 years ago, and it was a delight to experience it again! Only this time, I got to bring my kids with me. We enjoyed pancakes, bacon, ham, grits, eggs, and hashbrowns. I love how the food quality is the same after all these years! Highly recommend this delicious family owned business 😋
I love this little breakfast spot, you have to get here early on weekends to beat the crowd but it’s worth it even if you have to wait.
We had breakfast and it was excellent! My Wife's a simple 2 egg, bacon, and toast but it was perfect, quick to the table and hot. I had a house made corned beef hash with eggs, onions,and peppers kind of a bowl it was incredible best I've eaten.
Amazing food. Reminds you of a neighborhood restaurant that everyone knows you. The atmosphere is wonderful the service was great. I can't wait to come back.
The absolute best corned beef hash breakfast in Tallahassee. Hands down.
I had one of the sandwiches and my wife a salad. Both were good and the portions were very generous. The waitress was attentive and prompt.
DISAPPOINTING. MEH. I ordered their classic breakfast with scrambled eggs, choice of meat (ham), hashbrowns, and instead of toast, i opted for grits ($1 upcharge). Eggs = greasy Ham = about the width of a sheet of paper.....also greasy Hashbrowns = borderline burnt and soggy Grits = dry and tasteless.....no salt, no butter, no nothing After an overnight shift at the hospital, i was looking forward to trying this place out....but for $11, you'd be better off going somewhere else.
Food was very tasty. We ate on the patio with our dog and she felt very welcome there and they brought her a water bowl.
Great location, good food, ok service. Their salmon is always awesome! Best Tuna Melt in town! Breakfast is always good too.
A little confused on where to go when you walk in, but food was tasty. Pancake was bigger than my plate.
I was around this place and to be honest I was nervous to order. I took the risk and order the Salmon Hash. OMG, that was awesome. Red potatoes, red peppers, onion, mushrooms, eggs and salmon, I may missing something. But it was delicious. Good taste, good presentation, and the treatment was great. Clean bathroom, and quite place. Menu has a lot of options but I like to try something different every time. So if you are in town, swing by and pick something even if you think is crazy. You will not regret.
One of my favorite places in town for lunch/brunch! I love the unique space, and the food is always fresh and delicious.
With tip, ended up paying $42 for two very "meh" breakfast plates. French toast was okay, nothing special but there was alot of it. They forgot to put 1 of the 2 meats I ordered in my omlette. The other plate's bacon was overcooked nearly burnt, which I ended up taking. Floor was very dirty, dead bugs and thick layer of dust in the window sills. Drinks were kept filled though. Probably wouldn't eat there again. Edit: Wanted to give them a second chance because their rating is so high. Ordered a basic combo to go- bacon was severely undercooked, had to microwave it to make it edible, hashbrowns couldn't have been on the flatiron for more than a minute or two and were basically raw potatos.Soft Scrambeled eggs were cooked hard and without any salt/pepper and were tasteless. All around, a terrivle experience that I paid 10$ and tipped $3 for. Big 👎🏽
Breakfast or lunch Uptown Cafe is best of best ...just had Banana bread French Toast fabulous! And Tammy had the hot blackened chicken wrap she said it was delicious! THANKS Y'ALL 😊 see you next week for Apricot Smoked Salmon to take to Christmas gathering . Can't show up without Uptown Smoked Salmon

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! I had the pesto Benny and it is the best thing I've eaten in Tallahassee. I would add a picture but I ate it before I even had a chance 😁
Thoroughly enjoy breakfast and lunch here. The Ruben with potato salad is excellent, it's my current go-to lunch. I also haven't met an omelette that I didn't like here. The tiny drink cups seem kinda silly but refills are pretty forthcoming.
If you haven't been, you are missing one of the greatest experiences in Tallahassee. Family owned and operated, wonderful service and food to die for. Thank you Uptown for being Tallahassee
Excellent little Breakfast spot. The building itself is set up a little awkwardly, but you get plenty of seating options. The staff is very attentive and very nice usually. They make a salmon hash that is one of my favorites along with the blackened chicken hash. I'd say all of their food is good, but the pancakes filled with breakfast meats sometimes come out underdone. This place is wonderful morning treat. Don't sleep on it.
