The sandwiches are kinda not great, but the atmosphere and drinks are a wonder! Great place to study and hang out.

The owner of this place is a scumbag. I didn’t like the smoothie he made and asked if I can exchange for something else. He began yelling and screaming and cursing at me. Everyone in the restaurant was effected by his attitude. He could of calmly spoke to me, instead he yelled at me. The worst experience ever… if you want to be yelled at go there.

manager needs anger management. There was a piece of plastic in my smoothie and I went up to let them know. I only said one thing: "hey there's plastic in my smoothie" and immediately the manager came out and began to yell at me for THEIR error. saying they "can't check every cup". that's not my problem. how hard is it to simply remake my smoothie without causing a scene? insane.

This is my favorite place when I go visit my kids at FS u. It doesn't matter if I plan to eat with them or not. I will go by myself.

the sweet shop has a nice enough environment but everything is overpriced and the wifi is absolutely horrendous. maybe fun for a brunch with friends but definitely not for studying if you want to use the internet in any way

Seemed nice and cozy place to eat and sip and chill, but I can’t have caramel in my chocolate shake… why not? Ok lost a sale. If I’m buying it, i want to like it and I want it like i want it. Within reason of course. I would have gladly Paid for the extra topping. I might add that the cashier was kind and at no point was her persona in question. The milk shake I didn’t buy but tasted was so good I went back the next day. I will definitely get the white chocolate milkshake next time.

I’ve never been here but want to give 5 stars to the business strictly because I love the owner’s response to negative reviews.

I stopped in on a whim when I saw bubble tea advertised. But the bubbles weren’t boba/tapioca; they were weird, slightly-fruit-flavored gummies. They weren’t tasty like regular gummies, though. I eventually just drank the tea around them, but it was a disappointment. The woman taking orders seemed a bit impatient, but the man serving the drinks was very pleasant. The place seems like a fun hangout spot.

I go to the Sweet Shop nearly every morning for coffee and breakfast. The owner is so sweet to me always. He always says good morning with a smile and greets me kindly. The coffee is the best coffee I’ve ever had and the breakfast is incredible. I always feel so safe and so welcome at the Sweet Shop. I greatly appreciate everyone who works there.

Love this place. The coffee is great and the food is even better. It’s definitely made me gain some weight. The owner/manager is completely unhinged and you’ll likely hear him yelling at his workers while you struggle to get the Wi-Fi to work, but that’s part of the charm of this place. Just to give you an idea- one day I was there and he had his son only letting 4 people into the restaurant at a time (not for Covid, but bc they were short-staffed). The poor kid had to lock and unlock the door about every 15 seconds, while his dads yelling orders at him from behind the counter. When we finally got into the restaurant, we had to order basically right away, and my girlfriend was shaking in terror because she knew she’d get yelled at if she took a second too long to decide.😂 it’s a ridiculous environment but the food is great and you need to go for the experience.

Amazing coffee and great service. Life is too short for bad coffee at conferences and this place saved the day.

the owner is legitimately a disgusting and terrible person. i wish this run down place would finally close so something better could open in its place. just read his replies to others’ reviews and youll see for yourself.

Hey owner. Why don’t you get some help? You yell and scream and belittle people. People who only support you. Is this really who you want to be? I know you can change, but you have to shed that tough exterior. This isn’t healthy. Well, I wish you luck.

The food is okay. The sandwiches are a bit bland and the chai lattes are sub-par. The only item I really liked was the mango bubble tea. The price is also a bit expensive, especially given the quantity of each serving. The main issue I have is with the owner. I've heard whispers of how he treats employees but I didn't know the specifics. Now I do. If you spend 30 minutes screaming and belittling the only other employee present at 8:30 in the morning, it might be time to consider anger management or something. I could never imagine speaking to another human being that way, let alone an employee. He wasn't even rude to me but just hearing how he treats his employees in full view of the public has made me adamant in not coming back. I don't care what the employee might have done, you simply don't speak to someone in that manner. It's appalling and disturbing and I know there has to be a labor rights violation there somewhere. I don't recommend The Sweet Shop to anyone. And I hope the employees - past, present, and future - have resources to therapy for the verbal abuse they must undergo during each shift.

I went into the sweet shop today. I had my coffee from earlier this morning and ordered a bagel at the sweet shop. The owner publically yelled at me to throw away my coffee even though I ordered from him. The owner clearly doesn’t know how to treat customers. The coffee and bagels are already subpar so I will not be back. Publicly shaming customers won’t get you business! Do better We’ll you lost 2 customers so that’s bad for rent!
