Terrible attention, 20 minutes sitting and no one attended us, we chose to leave.

I've had the best cup of coffee here so I keep returning, however I think it depends on your barista. Some are more attentive and skilled than others, because I've had the same drink return to me differently. But they've been quick to fix it. Mostly it's the beautiful atmosphere for me. I can either sit outside under a covered area and enjoy the view or air inside for more temperature control and catch-up on some work. I've ordered food here twice and it was okay. Nothing special.

This is one of my favorite places to come on a sunny day! Perfectly located at Cascades Park with lots of places outside to sit and enjoy some coffee, breakfast, or lunch. They are also pet friendly, so I get to walk with my pup, grab some coffee, stop to eat, and enjoy my book!

Great location and service, a little pricey, but maybe that’s just inflation. Staff worked very hard on a busy Florida Inauguration Day!

I enjoyed my lemonade while walking this very well maintained park! I look forward to trying more drinks!

I love power plant. The view of the park is lovely and when there’s a breeze it’s a lovely place to work and I come here often. However every time I’ve come in the last month or so I have been charged a different price for the same iced coffee each time. Additionally, this morning the barista charged me for an iced latte instead of an iced coffee and when I asked about the difference in price she said it was a “management change.” I’m not sure why they can no longer ring up a plain iced coffee.

Ordered two fairly simple coffees, and after 20 minutes finally went to the window to inquire about what was taking so long. There was no line and it wasn’t very busy. The barista proceeded to take our order receipt and hand me a cold brew without the flavor or almond milk I ordered. I told her it was a peanut butter cold brew and I watched her squirt peanut butter syrup on top and try to hand it back. I asked for my almond milk and she did the same. The mocha latte was simply chocolate syrup and little coffee. Do not go here and if you do be prepared to wait and then walk them through exactly what you ordered.

Nice outdoor seating, tables and couches... Walk up window for ordering, friendly service... Bean bag toss boards (oh yeah, called Cornhole in this day and age, someone explain why?) to play... Pricey, $3.25 for a cup of coffee...

Hands down my favorite breakfast place in Tallahassee. A great place for a relaxing brunch. The Tesla bagel sandwich with cream cheese is the best breakfast sandwich in town, even when compared to Keke’s, Country Kitchen, and Canopy Road. Their wraps are good too. Their baked goods are also among the best in town, probably also the best. The great food, quick service, and best park in town make this a Tallahassee best, for sure.

Such a disappointment that this gorgeous place has a rude barista. They will make you feel anxiously unwelcome.

Why the Power Plant Cafe has Mixed Reviews July 24, 2022 If you want to be treated humanly well, prepare to bite your tongue and keep your mouth shut. Approaching a Power Plant Cafe staff member with a simple and fixable issue will have you looking for a godparent for your baptism of fire. I came in with my mother around 10am and I was falling in love with the industrial aesthetic and cleanliness. I ordered an iced latte with mocha and hazelnut. Aaysha, one of the baristas, prepared it and it was perfectly balanced with the right sweetness. I ended up ordering another one. Leeah, also one of the baristas, was the one to who prepared my second iced latte. When I received my second iced latte, it was completely different. The color was significantly darker and taste was oddly bitter. I approached the bar and kindly asked, “Excuse me, is this the same drink?” Leeah gave me the ugliest and most threatening stare. She stared at me for a good 4 seconds and eventually broke the silence by saying, “Yeah, I used mocha and hazelnut.” She turned around to the newest hire, who told me with much joy that it was her second day, and started whispering, “...ridiculous...” right in front of my mother and I. As a former barista, I understand that errors happen. However, the death stare was vile enough to make you tense, on guard, and have you clutching your black tourmaline. Errors like this happen because we are human, but I was not offered another drink or a refund. A simple apology would had been enough for me not to write this review. So, we left and here I am writing this for you, my fellow reader.

I had the most stellar grilled green tomato and cheese sandwich here. The Power Plant Cafe is next to the Edison Restaurant in Cascades Park. It's a lovely, peaceful spot for a sandwich, ice cream or other snack. Treat yourself and go for a late lunch, sit outside on the patio, and bring your book for a delicious afternoon of serious chilling. Stay for happy hour

Horrible service. Employees do not seem to care about their jobs. Went in this weekend for breakfast and coffee - it wasn’t that busy but my coffee never came out and people who ordered after me were getting their coffee. When I finally asked about my latte the employee literally said “I don’t know” and then I further explained that it was on the order with the four breakfast sandwiches she then said “well I’m sure it’s coming” and then eventually said “ok, I’ll just make it”. During all of this, there is a huge leak coming from the ceiling dripping onto one of the tables and the floor. There was no bucket, no sign, nothing to do anything about the water or alert customers that the floor was wet. When we left, we pointed it out to one of the employees and they said “oh yea, we know”. The funniest part of the visit was when an employee came in with a HUGE bag of Whataburger and left it right on the counter for everyone to see. All of this to say - the staff are incredibly unprofessional and need to be trained.

Potential but there are so many better places to go. Staff needs training on customer service.

My significant other ordered the picnic basket option from them as a surprise for my birthday about 2 days beforehand. When we arrived she found that they had lost our order. When that was straightened out they only gave us about half the food we had ordered- and one of the employees was incredibly trite about our concerns. The food was solid though.

Lazy.....best way I could describe the service and food, and that’s even a compliment. Sad that people hire these young entitled kids to ruin their business, making the patrons feel like they did something wrong....owner may want to make some changes
