Great little spot to have a good cup of coffee in a comfortable atmosphere.
I'm an employee, wonderful place to work!
From nola came here first for coffee. Great staff and atmosphere. Great coffee. We are all happy.
Hands down my favorite coffee shop. The staff is very nice, and the food is always super fresh. They also do a lot to support the local community with food drives and other forms of philanthropy. I frequent this place a lot and would highly recommend because the service is consistently excellent.
I love this place! Down to earth & great artsy vibes! I had the best oat milk, honey, cinnamon latte. The owner gave an extra egg to my baby for free. That meant a lot . My nanny loved the Gardener. For breakfast or lunch this is the best whole food, fresh coffee shop in Tallahassee! Prices were great too! You need to go there today !
square mug is far and away one of my favorite coffee shops in town. the owner and everyone who works there puts their whole heart into making it a wonderful place for locals to hang out, and i hope they have many more years ahead 💕
The only food I tried was the Bliss Bar. It's delicious, with raspberry and a bit of white chocolate. Saw several nice looking options for gluten-free baked goods as well. Nice indoor/outdoor space with a great vibe. Really nice staff.
Cute coffee shop by the front entrance of the Railroad Square District. Food was super yummy, staff was awesome, and overall vibe of the place was so chill & very inclusive. Very kid friendly & will definitely visit again!
A new favorite spot 🥰 the owner is literally one of the best humans on earth. Amazing food, incredible vibes. The world is a better place bc of special spots like this one!!! Great vegan options!!!
Great coffee and an accommodating staff.
The Square Mug Cafe is in a little blue cottage at the main entrance to Tallahassee's Railroad Square art district. The food is mostly breakfast-and-lunch fare, without _meat_ dishes: open-face veggie bagels with or without eggs, carb snacks like muffins and cookies, a variety of coffees and teas, and a couple of types of beer. It is filled with local art mainly displaying themes of womens' empowerment and inspiration, with the occasional esoteric or transcendentalist-style piece. Refreshing and delightful. There are about 20 seats worth of indoor seating, and roughly the same amount for outside seating, split between an elevated deck and a patio. The clientele consists of many students pecking away at their laptops, to post-college aged Tallahasseeans of a somewhat liberal bent, and a smattering of artists and other interesting local folk. Its place at the forefront of Railroad Square offers easy access to a wide array of shops and galleries comprising Tallahassee's Bohemian Arts district. This is some of the most concentrated local flavor Tallahassee has, all in a laid back, easy access, strollable environment, without any chain stores present, meaning all are local small businesses.
Great food, great coffee, great service…a place to visit often!
As local as local gets. Git in where ya fit in. Great coffee, EXCELLENT gluten free snack options. Lovely courtyard
Amazing avocado toast. Latte and americano are on point. Drip coffee was also very good. Will return next time we are in town. Great atmosphere and vibe. You can tell the owner takes great pride in providing customers with a great experience. Also a huge plus they have their own garden to source some of their ingredients for the food menu.
Great staff as well as coffee.
I can't say much on their food since I've haven't had any, but the coffee is decent and the environment is pretty nice to get work done in.
My favorite go-to spot in Tallahassee for breakfast. Their avocado toast is a revelation! Friendliest cafe in town with wholesome af food & people
I’m working from out of town and this cute little place was across from my hotel. I got a iced latte and bagel sandwich with egg, cheese and spinach. Everything was great! Update: I came here again this morning and the girl working the counter was quite unfriendly. Not what I expect from a independent coffee shop.
First time here, hopefully not the last. I am a celiac who was able to enjoy the Resting Witch Face pumpkin chai without a reaction! Delicious! Friendly staff who took the time to check ingredients for allergy information to ensure my safety. Cant wait to try more drinks!
I usually have such a positive experience at this cafe. The owner is super sweet and the coffee is usually perfect. However today was much different. The cafe was busy which is not unsual for this place. However when it was my turn to order the barista with brunette hair was particularly rude. No big deal, I just decided not to tip today as I usually did. They said "I appreciate you" as they turned the ipad around and when they saw I in fact did not tip said to my face "or NOT." In addition my drink and my friends drink was not great today and my friend's pastry under baked in the middle. I can't say I will be back any time soon. So disappointing
