The pasta dish we had was fantastic but the chicken in the dish might have been the worst chicken I've ever had. I threw most of it out. The pasta and sauce was very good and the dessert we had was also very good.

Ordered Lobster Mac and Cheese with broccoli and bacon! Enough to share! Delish! $7 Margarita’s and a beautiful view. Erin was our server and so friendly.

The Point restaurant in Osprey, Florida is an absolute treasure trove of delightful experiences that will leave you with a smile on your face and a satisfied stomach. Let me take you on a journey through this amazing waterfront establishment, where good food, refreshing drinks, and stunning views come together to create a truly memorable experience. First things first, let's talk about the libations. The cocktails at The Point are expertly crafted, with mixologists who know how to tickle your taste buds just right. Whether you're in the mood for a classic martini or a creative concoction, they've got you covered. If cocktails aren't your thing, fear not! The beer is always cold and refreshing, with a great selection of local and craft brews to choose from. Cheers to that! Now let's move on to the food. Prepare your taste buds for a culinary adventure because The Point delivers on all fronts. The seafood is fresh and expertly prepared. From succulent shrimp to mouthwatering fish dishes, every bite is a celebration of the ocean's bounty. Oh, and speaking of bites, the portions at The Point are incredibly generous, ensuring that you leave satisfied and full. The best part? The prices are very reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of the food. But it's not just the food and drinks that make The Point special. The view from all levels of the restaurant is absolutely breathtaking. Whether you choose to dine inside or enjoy the open-air seating, you'll be treated to panoramic vistas that showcase the natural beauty of Little Sarasota Bay. Let me let you in on a little secret, the top floor bar boasts one of the best views in the entire Sarasota area! Watching boats gracefully cruise by on the intercoastal or witnessing their attempts at docking adds an extra touch of charm to your dining experience. If you prefer a more casual atmosphere, make sure to check out the tiki bar located right on the water. On many days and nights music fills the air, creating a l

We took visiting guests here Saturday night hoping for a nice meal and views up top. Felt like we were at a club for college kids as they had a DJ blaring music along with people smoking as they danced in swimwear. The food was mediocre at best. Not the experience we were expecting or hoping for. I'll stick with the tiki hut below for a casual atmosphere, beer and munchies.

Love the view when you get outside dining. Not our first time here, been here many times for lunch. First time for dinner and we had a reservation, seated right away. Still have yet to dine on the 3rd level, not sure how you get that seat. Our waitress last night was doing a final night of training for a returning college student but we have to admit over all our service was really less than stellar. Long gaps with no contact, so hopefully the college student didn’t use our experience to provide service when he goes solo. My husband had the grouper, his cheddar mashed potatoes were the perfect shape of the scoop and must have been plated too soon as they were completely cold. I had the crab cakes, they were ok, felt too minced up, no chunks of crab so I don’t recommend them. The 4 stars was for the drinks, view and company of friends and past lunches. Dinner and the service was a 3. As for our service, they limited seating and had lots of empty tables so still not sure why the service was less than stellar.

Unbelievable good. We were the first customers of the day right when the doors opened. Place was packed by the time we left.

Great view and food! We had the lobster roll (lots of lobster meat), Orange garlic salmon, and crab cakes. All was delicious!

Love the view here, my Cobb Salad is always the best! I have 4 ⭐️ instead of 5 because of the service, our waiter was not friendly at all, kinda rude to our requests (which was very simple, like please close the door so the cool air can stays in…) we will definitely come back! Hopefully will get someone else nicer

We are very patient customers and gave this place 2 chances. But unfortunately this was the worst service ever. Took 15 minutes to be greeted then 25 minutes later we asked a hostess to get us water, the waitress blamed it on the computer, she forgot to put one of our entrees in so as our friends boxed up their food our meal arrived at the table. The food was ok. not worth the wait. The manager asked after 1.5 hours how everything was and didn't even offer anything for the worst experience ever. We went down to the tiki bar afterwards and received much better service. Never again...

Not fresh food. Imitation crab in the crab dip and crab cakes. Burger and fries were from frozen. Shrimp not properly cooked. Everything under seasoned. Waited sooo long and had to send it all back. Our waitress ashley was very nice, the manager handled it well. Recommendation to the owner and staff: please taste the food for yourself.

Our server Jerry was having a bad day and decided to be very vocal about it. First thing out of his mouth was how terrible he was feeling….but thanks for asking he said. It went down hill from there. He ruined our dinner. It was a special dinner we planned with our daughter that told us she was having a baby. Jerry (waiter) needs to take some time off! The only baby we talked about that night was Jerry! I’m am so annoyed!!

Brought my friend with serious dietary restrictions yesterday for lunch. She was here for only a day and I wanted to convince her to come back with the rest of the family for a visit! I just can’t tell you how accommodating the staff was! Special thanks to kitchen manager who spoke to my friend about her restrictions and figured out a way to serve a delightful meal! And I have enjoyed your spot on the water since we used to stop on kayaks years ago! Thank you for a lovely afternoon

After waiting for a server for 20 minutes, I gave up and ordered our drinks and appetizers directly from the bar. Our waiter eventually came by, but service continued to be slow. Beer selection was good and view of the sunset was great. The banging shrimp appetizer was delicious. Both the Crab Stuffed Mahi and Scallop entrees were over cooked and tough. The asparagus side was also tough. Overall a bad experience. The beer, appetizer and view earn the second star. If you’re lucky enough to get a good server, you might have a better time.

I had lunch at The Point today, and my lobster roll was outstanding, comparable to the lobster rolls I've had in Maine! The contents included a generous helping of lobster and a perfectly prepared and authentic roll. The chef visited our table and told us how she was fairly new and had changed many recipes, including the preparation of the lobster roll. I look forward to many more meals at The Point, where I've found, hands down, the best lobster roll to be found in Sarasota and perhaps even in Maine!

Great food, big portions. Got the Shrimp Po Boy and Lobster Roll, both with Parmesan truffle fries. Excellent. Andrew was our server and did an exceptional job.

Nice place for outside seating and sunsets, but unstable kitchen quality. With a bit of luck can be pretty good, but often things come cut with not love or burned. Lobster roll is good and crab cakes... hope they dont buy them at Walmart 💓

Beautiful location. We were on the 3rd floor deck overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway. Service was quick and accurate. Lunch for 4 with 6 adult beverages was $147 before tip. A little on the pricy side for my taste but worth it.

We concur with other 5-star reviews. Our group said each of their orders: grilled grouper, shrimp scampi & fish & chips was delicious. The sunset view from the second floor balcony was wonderful. We were seated quickly but not rushed through a relaxing evening of drinks and dinner. We'll certainly be back. Mike K.

February 15, 2023, We brought my visiting parents to celebrate my mother's 87th birthday and see the sunset. Stepped up to the podium on the third floor. The woman at the podium was talking to another customer. When she was through talking, she just turned and walked away without at least acknowledging us with a "we'll be right with you". Our server, Andrew P., came from the back room and seated us. Andrew took our drink orders. My father ordered a Coconut Mojito and my mother ordered a Sombrero. He never heard of a Sombrero but it is simply coffee liqueur and milk (this will be relevant later). After what seemed like a long wait we got our drinks. We had an appetizer then ordered dinner. After a very long wait, Andrew came by and said that he would check on our meals. The food came almost immediately after but it was all very cool. Andrew said that he would have the entire meal remade. While waiting Andrew brought cups of chowder and bisque for us to eat. Sadly though very hot, neither was very good. When we got our remade meals they were warmer but still could not be considered hot. It appears that both my wife's and my grilled grouper sandwiches were simply reheated fish from our first sandwich as we both encountered tough spots as though it was overcooked. Unfortunately, my mother was not really hungry by this point and didn't eat much of her mac & cheese with lobster. When our remade meals were delivered, my father asked for another drink, a Toasted Almond. Andrew asked my father to repeat the order then went to place the order. We finished the meal and the check was brought. As I was reviewing the invoice, Andrew delivered my father's second drink. Not only did it take 23 minutes (Yes, my father timed it) and was delivered after we had already finished our meal, it was not the drink ordered, it was another Coconut Mojito. When my father mentioned that he had ordered a Toasted Almond, Andrew said, "We don't have that so I brought you this"
