Always great food. Definitely a locals place. Eggs Benedict on weekends for $9.99. See pictures. Other breakfast is scrapple and eggs - a Pennsylvania thing!

Gotta love a diner where they actually know how to COOK. I have never had a bad meal or a floppy piece of bacon here.

This is one of our favorite breakfast spots. Staff is always friendly. Always. Wife likes she can order lunch at breakfast. I like they always get my order just right like xtra crispy hash browns and butter-grill the biscuit. Good daily specials. Can’t say anything negative about this place.

Wandered up from western Port Orange to a repair shop in the shopping center. Stopped in for breakfast and the place was packed. We were welcomed by a waitress who actually said she was not friendly. As a result we moved to another table and that waitress had excellent service. We ordered the biscuits and gravy which was one of the special but tasted like it was not fresh. The hashbrowns were weird; never had diced potatoes that tasted like instant potatoes. They were cold and had a mushy taste. I had two eggs over easy and grits and the grits were the best thing we had for the whole meal. My ride toast was extra dry and hard as a rock and very cold. Gave iit 2 stars because the service was good and the menu is extensive. We will not be coming back however

This place is special to me and my spouse. It's our breakfast date stop. The ladies are wonderful and the chocolate milk is the best!

simply put : The quintessential Florida diner. The favourite of many a ormond beach local, the Rivergate cafe has offered good company, kind staff, good food and a smile to my family for generations. What was once my mother's favourite pace to get coffee before attending seabreeze highschool in the 80s, now has also become my go-to-diner on many a morning. Rarely has any food or restaurant so consistently put a smile.
