Dive bar with self-serve beer and no AC. Nothing else around. Loved it!
Great food and experience!! This has to be a stop if you're going through the everglades! New screened in porch is an excellent addition!
Joanie's never disappoints! A must stop when driving through the Everglades! Great food, Everglades atmosphere, cold beer, hilarious photos in the bathroom! The staff is fabulous! One of our favorites is the coney dog! Also....you can usually spy a huge gator out back!
This is the best! Without any questions this is the best place in the Southern Place. Never ever have we met a more authentic waitress who is full of real kindness than here. And the food is absolutely great!!
Great local place to stop in for a bite or a cold beer. It may be the only food avaliable for about 50 miles. I got the hush puppies and a cold beer after spending the morning exploring Big Cypress. Would definitely recommend it based on my experience.
If you're near it stop in. You won't regret it
Don’t come to this place, especially if you have children. Men’s room walls are covered with nude pictures, and there is no warning of this before you enter. Totally unfair to people who still have morals and who don’t want them violated and don’t want their children’s minds affected. Not funny Joanie, can’t figure out what weird thrill you must get from shocking people.
Our server was fast, friendly and kind. She had a great vibe about her and seemed to genuinely love her work. We enjoyed our food (fried cod sandwich and crab cake sandwich). We also enjoyed the ambience of sitting on the screened in porch. If we find ourselves out this way again, we will be sure to return!
Would like to be able to review the food but we walked in at approximately 4:20 pm and waited about 10 minutes to have a server recognize and come to the table and then be told the grill was closed and the options were VERY limited as to what we could order, down to my wife couldn't order a sandwich because they toast it on the grill. The staff were nice especially when we said we were going elsewhere but apparently and I quote " everyone that comes there after 4:30 only has to-go orders" even though they were still seating customers as they told us this. I do not recommend.
Definitely an experience you need to have. What a great time we had with our server.
WOW what a gem!!! Super cozy place and extremely friendly staff and the food was unbelievably delicious. We ordered fried shrimp which was juicy and tasty, soft shell crab sandwich was the winner for me a must try in my opinion, gator nuggets were very good as well, fried cord was delicious as well. Overall a 9 out of 10 spot for me. If you are in the area you must save your appetite and stop by this fabulous hidden gem.

You have to go! Drive past many times over the last couple years and we finally stopped for lunch on a weekday. No wait. Great place. Had the mahi mahi tacos and they were delicious, lots of tasty fish. Also had the fried green tomatoes and hush puppies, Excellent! Dessert was housemade key lime pie that was absolutely amazing.
Simply the best key lime pie we have ever had!! Great service and you truly feel like your stepping back in time when you stop in for some good cold drinks and some great food! There are meals for every taste from deep fried to some great salads!! Everyone had a blast for sure!! P.S. Lisa is the best !!

Best fries ever, amazing hamburger, great service. If you are prudish, skip the bathrooms, but if you have a good sense of humour, check them out. The seafood is the main attraction, but it is not for people on a budget. Overall, highly recommend for the experience.
