We absolutely love The Local! We have been there so many times I can’t even tell you! We’ve eaten up and down the menu, gone for brunch and lunch and dinner too. The wait staff is super helpful and very friendly. Very convenient location close to everything that we do pretty much. Their blueberry pie is to die for!

Really great food. The chef adds just enough flare to make things unique but not overdone. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. If you're a local, come to The Local. I'd you're not a local, come to The Local.

This is a local place in a strip mall off of Pine Ridge. First time there for me. Excellent greeting and first impression. Very responsive server! This is a pricey place and the menu is really limited. They do not have low carb or low calorie foods.. There is no basic grilled chicken or steak dinner. The veggies are limited and most meals have sauces and marinades on them. I ordered a Carnivore pizza ($19.00) because there was nothing else appealing that was low calorie. Pizza was made to order but very dry and very little tomato sauce. I also ordered a house side salad ($9.00) and it was excellent. They serve beer and wine but no cocktails. Overall a great location and atmosphere. I wish they had a grilled or blackened chicken entre, broccoli or even served bread. Others may like the menu so I still think it is a nice but pricey place to eat. 8/10.

Nicely decorated restaurant with good vibes. Food was excellent, in this case the spicy bacon egg sandwich.

Amazing food and service. My favorite favorite is the Vegetarian Pizza! And the homemade pies! But truly it's all sooo good.

What a pleasant surprise to stumble upon this restaurant. The service and food were both top-notch. My husband had the mushroom pizza which was fantastic. I’m not vegan, but decided to try something different and had the vegan tacos with the Kale Caesar salad upgrade. I don’t know their secret to making a salad taste so good, but I could’ve eaten just that and been happy. The tacos were really good as well. We’re looking forward to checking out their Sunday brunch. Highly recommend this place!

The food is quite good, not amazing, but the portion sizes are ridiculously small. The sizes of the salads in particular were disappointing. Salads can easily be “beefed up” with lettuce, so why not do so? I paid $8 for like a cup’s worth of a house salad. Then an extra $7 for good quality chicken, which is fine, but a $15 salad should have way more volume. If they simply bumped up their portion sizes I think people would be a lot more satisfied.

The Local is located on the south side of the Bed Bath and Beyond plaza on the corner of Pine Ridge and Airport Pulling Road. The parking can be a little tight on that side of the plaza, but there is plenty of parking on the east side of the building. There is outdoor seating and plenty of seating inside this restaurant, which is a good thing for locals because we're often working and not in vacation mode. The ambiance is modern but rustic with booths along the sides, tables in the middle and a wine (and beer) bar across the back. There are chalkboard signs displaying the specials. The service on my visit with great - very friendly and knowledgeable staff. All the food came out quickly and was prepared as ordered. The food is locally sourced and fresh - everything we had was very good. My only complaint is that they do not change the temperature of the burger - it comes one way, even when I asked if it could be done on the rare side, it still came out well done - but I was warned. This is a great lunch spot for local professionals.

My friend and I were at the local last night and it was a great experience. The food was so fresh and delicious. The almond cheese bruschetta was next level. I would be remiss if I did not give kudos to our amazing server, John. He was such a pleasure and really enjoyed his customers. Great service like we received from John is not the norm these days. This guy was exceptional;)

So disappointing. Went for corned beef and cabbage with Irish soda bread. Was told by the server the chef didn't have time to make or get the soda bread. But they charged us fully. They also didn't have the wine we ordered. Nor going back.

Came for lunch and really enjoyed it. The lunch menu is different from the dinner menu and both have amazing things on it. We started with the vegan bruschetta which had almond cheese and was delicious. We tried the so icy fried chicken special sandwich which was excellent and the vegan Korean tacos, which were good but I preferred the chicken. We swapped the side salad for the spicy watermelon salad which was excellent. The staff is also super friendly and there is some outdoor seating available too. Will definitely be back.

Dishes can be hit or miss on taste, but always pricy for the portion sizes. Can’t complain about the service.

Had a delicious lunch today! I had the watermelon salad with spicy honey on the side and the red lentil soup. My husband had the Turkey sandwich with tomato jam on a soft roll with a side salad. Everything was superb!! Next time May try the fish tacos! We will be back!!

Overpriced…. Our service was great. The biggest disappointment was the size of the entree for the price. For $40 grouper, I was expecting a lil larger slab.

Waited half an hour for our salad, only to have a room temperature limp Caesar with no taste, but it had tomatoes (?). Let the waiter know we wanted time to eat our salad before our entree. We heard him tell the kitchen to hold up. I am confident our entrees sat under a warming light before we received them. Grouper was potato crusted, but the frozen hash browns were mushy that crusted the grouper that I had to cut with a knife it was so tough. My husband didn't complain, but his steak looked medium well, instead of medium. I watched a chef keep coming out of the kitchen and going to the host stand repeatedly. Waiters and waitresses were obviously frustrated at how long it took their food to come out of the kitchen. The restaurant was 30% full at best. Then they present you with the credit card machine with tip options of 20, 22 or 25 percent. Beautiful building and complex, but they miss the basics of food prep and service. Don't understand all the hype about this family of restaurants.
