If there was a Center of Key Largo, I would say the Key Largo Fisheries backyard café is it there’s a really healthy looking marina. Lots of fishing boats they cook really fresh fish. Can you come by to take home the markets huge and it’s so busy in the back is absolutely brilliant as well entertainment and you can sit down and eat.

We had the lobster roll & lobster BLT. Get the BLT! It is over & above our expectations. As we were leaving, the restaurant was making seafood Paella which made us want to try it.

Not going to lie, my food today was below average. When spending 30 dollars on a meal, the last thing it should be, is below average. The rice and beans were incredibly bland. I ate here three weeks ago in the evening time, and it was great! Today it was bad. Just bad.

I really appreciate their honesty. Six stone crab claws cost $64 at the cafe window. When we hesitated, the woman told us to go get them at the market. It turned out to be about half the price, and we were allowed to eat them on the cafe deck. I hope I'm not getting her in trouble.

It's order window with no table service. The drinks are premade or canned. We we given the wrong drinks first time around. The correct drinks were ok. The food was decent. It was cool to watch fish and sharks swim by the dock. The music was ok. It was live. But the equipment wasn't set up right and they kept getting feedback from the microphone with no attempts to fix it

Went on a boat run, came down from Broward County. Easy to navigate and had a big lot for the boat. Always nice when they can accommodate you. Clean room and decent bed. Thank you.

The food tastes great 👍🏻 but I found the fresh fish to be overpriced. The staff does a great job on the fried food. My favorite side dish is the coleslaw. The Bloody Mary is worth the picture alone. Only offers outdoor seating but it is all shaded. The background music is relaxing so come prepared to enjoy!

This was a great place to get fresh fish and stone crabs! The hogfish is a local fish that is a must get in any form.

Lobster BLT had too much lobster and too much bacon. Clam chowder had way too many clam pieces. The only reason I'm rating as a 5 is the moro was good. Haha. Seriously, everything was excellent. It could not have been any better. And being on the water in the marina was a plus.

The Backyard Cafe has rare access to some of the freshest seafood in the Upper Keys. The transition between ownership was tenuous; the style of eatery quickly drifted towards the common "fish, three different ways" that every restaurant is capable of in Monroe County. However, the recent introduction (or reintroduction) of some less common dishes such as the tropical shrimp salad or chipotle mahi wrap present a good redirection back towards the initial success of the originators of the eatery.

we had the snapper sandwich, lobster bacon sandwich and key lime pie. the pie and lobster sandwich were tasty. the fried snapper sandwich and cole slaw were not that great, especially considering the price.

Shrimp tacos were good and came with surprise fries which wrre also nice! A little pricey but I assume that's because it's fresh catch.

The fish here is so fresh and delicious. Their mahi chipotle wrap special was amazing. Would recommend everything on the menu.

The whole fried yellow tail was amazing. We really enjoyed how fresh and tasty it was. Rice and beans with tostones was good as well.

I’ve lived in the upper keys for 20+ years and the food at the fisheries and backyard cafe is always so tasty and fresh. Today was my birthday & the staff overheard and did something so nice and made my day even more special. I also noticed they had crawfish on the specials menu and they were soooo yummy. I had went back and ordered two more servings after the first one lol loved every bit of it. Thank you backyard cafe! :)

ceviche is even less edible, but the rest is generally trash. Not tasty, fatty, fried, and even after eating you feel bad
