The espresso is great, and served right. They know how to dial it in. The staff is friendly and knowledgable.
Wonderful staff, coffee, and atmosphere!
I called to inquire about a gift card purchase for a friend that lives in the Springfield area. I am out of state and since there was no option to order a gift card online and mail it out myself, the wonderful employee that answered the phone helped me with purchasing the gift card and offered to personally deliver it to my friend in the area. This is service I have never been offered or received anywhere. How kind and thoughtful to help out a complete stranger. I will definitely be making a point to stop in when I travel to that area next to personally thank Paula, and of course grab a delicious cup of coffee! If any of you are in the area and run into Paula, please show her some extra love. She is wonderful!
First visit to SOCIAL GROUNDS since moving back into Springfield. PAULA was a great help introducing me to the different pastries and muffins available. Grabbed a berry & cheese Danish with my BLACK EYE(with a drop of honey and just a touch of 1/2 and 1/2), both of which I'm now enjoying on our front porch at home. Inside looks like a great place to chill in the morning with friends. Maybe I'll see you there soon.
Hazelnut cold brew and an orange olive oil muffin ... so good. Great staff!!!
Excellent attention to detail and quality, interior is a bit jam packed but it was great. Friendly owner too!
It was the best BlackBerry jam and cheese danish ive ever had and my mom couldn't stop raving about her gluten free vegan orange muffin.
We had a great time at Social Grounds. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The overall atmosphere vibes were excellent. Our coffees and pastries were very good. Also these guys have the best selection of beans I’ve seen in Jax. I had the pleasure of meeting the the owner Jason who was super knowledgeable about coffee and happy to share. Will be making the drive to visit this place again.
The staff here is just so friendly. I popped in from the other side of town, pleasantly surprised at their quick service. The tahini bread, iced coffee and breakfast sandwiches are absolutely perfect. I definitely recommend and will stop by as often as possible!!

Quaint little coffee shop with good tasting coffee. The atmosphere is very hip which is consistent with the upcoming neighborhood. I am a coffee aficionado and I look at every detail when I walk into a new coffee shop. They have a beautiful Slayer high end espresso machine and professional grade grinders, which is certainly a good sign. The coffee was fresh and flavorful. I had a macchiato. One common mistake that is happening in all hipster shops is the preparation of some of the drinks. I may be nitpicking here but in a macchiato the espresso is poured over the milk and no coffee art is needed, but nevertheless the drink was flavorful and well presented. As I said this is a common thing with US trained baristas, but hey we are in Jacksonville Florida after all, not Milan or Rome. 😎 I will certainly be back to social grounds. I had a very positive experience overall.
Had a nice experience here. Came with my dog to study. Chill place with a nice atmosphere.
Best coffee I ever had everything the Cafe Con Leche.
This was my first ever coffee shop that I tried l. I still need to go back because when I went they were out of pastries to try. The guy working behind the counter was extremely nice and I think they are dog friendly but I am not 100% sure. There was a lady sitting inside with her dog and it didn’t bother me one bit. I will definitely go back.
The latte I had was delicious and the food was so good. The service and atmosphere was wonderful.
Nice place and quiet! Had WiFi and adequate plugs for electronics. Staff was helpful and coffee choices plentiful.
Really nice chill coffee shop. Asked the barista for a recommendation on beans and he kindly showed me the Ethiopian that looks really nice! The barista is really friendly and cappuccino was great.
