I have an espresso machine at home and I am constantly looking for the best beans to use. The Barking Iron Espresso bean is by far the tastiest espresso bean that I have found locally. And my favorite thing about the beans are they are roasted here locally! The shop itself is also very well maintained and a nice place to hangout at and get some extra work done. Go check em out!

This is a really nice coffee shop. The staff were very frendly, the shop has a nice local but contemporary look, and the coffee was fantastic. The coffee is slightly more expensive than a Dunkin; but it's worth it. I have not tried the hot food yet, but most of the options sound good. I recommend the iced vanilla latte. Overall, I will come back again and maybe this time bring a nice book to read.

I love this place! The coffee is actually really good, I usually get the cold brew which has a well rounded body with very little bitter taste. The food is outstanding! I recommend the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The only suggestion I have is to keep staff on the same page. The first time I went in they were running food outside for guests. My second time, I was waiting outside, and it took I while so I went into check- and my sandwich was sitting on the counter cold.

So I wanted to like this coffee shop while I explore Jacksonville coffee shops and if I hadn't come back the first day I would of left a good review. Day 1 4/4/23: I asked for a white mocha cold brew 50/50 almond milk but blended and a pretzel. They happily made it all and it came out perfect was happy. Day 2: 4/5/23: Different staff asked for the same drink. Was told we won't make that. I asked why and got a vague we just don't implying it's not right or something. They wanted to make a blended latte instead with two shots of expresso. I had to get work done so I agreed. As expected it was bitter and expresso tasting rather than my smooth blended cold brew the day before. I even explained that I was bit concerned about the caffeine amount in her suggestion. Which she said she could make a half but tried to tell me there would the same in my cold brew. Which is not correct math below. Here is the issue: I go to coffee shops around California and Florida and in 15 years of going almost every single day to some coffee shop. I've never been told by a shop they won't make me a blended cold brew many even have it on the menu as their standard blended drink offering. It's a very smooth drink and has almost no bitterness to it but a fresh coffee taste paired with whatever flavoring you put if any. The Math: Expresso shots are 1 oz and according to google 64 mg per shot or oz. Latte 2 shots = so128mg caffeine Cold brew has a range but if you use a very strong blonde brew you'll be about 13 mg per oz weak ones can be half that. A blended drink is 50-60% ice So a 20 oz drink we can say 10 oz is coffee and milk if it's half and half 5 oz of coffee with 5 oz milk. 5oz of coffee in the blended blonde cold brew = 65 mg of caffeine blended cold brew drink 65mg of caffeine blended latte 128mg of caffeine So yes a half shot would of been the same as an extra strong blonde cold brew but even an extra strong is half that of the standard blended latte. So to me I got a drink twic

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious sandwich, and perfectly brewed coffee. The food took some time to come out but it was well worth the wait as it was fresh and tasted amazing!

I went here for breakfast for the first time the other day. Let me say, this is one of the best spots to go for breakfast. I had the Rex breakfast sandwich and it was delicious, the biscuit was crumbly and the meal was filling. The staff was also freindly which is always a plus in my book. Will visit again!

So I used to love this place, once or twice a week. A general greeting goes a long way. Not even a good morning, hello, just stares at you.....I say good morning and no response. Baffling how foreign basic customer service skills are. Won't be back.

Good service, great quality. We buy their grounds for home use when we're in town and get coffee nearly everyday we're in town. They're not super consistent but when it's not right they're more then happy to remake it for you. They have good selection and just from personal experience they don't charge extra for custom orders.

Been here about 20 times. Love the coffee, food & staff. Don't like the music ... too grungy, not relaxing to have a meal or talk with friends.

Brass Tacks gives you your moneys worth every time with the 32oz “Florida man.” Never will I return to comercial chain coffee stores. Brass tacks on San Jose is where it’s at! Also, EXCELLENT Employees.

Worst cappuccino I've ever had. I ordered a traditional cap but got something that tasted like dishwater. Barista didn't seem happy to be there, lack of energy. They swapped a large coffee to go as I asked, but doubtful I'll be back.

This is a great place. They have Sugar free syrups for your coffee and alternative milks, not just nut milks but also Oat milk which is great because I have a nut allergy. There coffee tastes great. They also have lots of room to sit if you want to stay and drink you coffee. The employees are also very helpful and friendly.

No metal spoons for my cappuccino, only have plastic and don't see bothered by it. Ordered non-fat cap, got an oat milk cap, which was pretty good considering how average brass tacks beans are
