Awesome atmosphere offering live music and events on scheduled times. Coffee beans from all around the world are roasted and ground here fresh. For vegan's, the owner supplies us with non-dairy options of oat milk, soy milk and coconut milk but be sure to add the milk after you taste the coffee black so you learn the flavor of the coffee beforehand. If you're handicapped and use a wheel chair, be sure to access the building from the parking lot coming from orange Street as there is a ramp to get in. The depot offers a quaint music room for visitors to listen to vinyl records. In the main grand room of the venue, they have cool colored lights and eclectic comfortable seats. This is a great place to chill out with friends that some can call a hidden gem! I added some photos and videos for you to see. The owner, Mister Chris, is very nice and gives an informative tour of this repurposed train depot by appointment.
This is a neat little place to visit. It’s an old Train Depot back in the day. Now it’s a coffee house with memorabilia from past times. Plus they serve breakfast with quiche and fresh fruit. They also have coffee from all over the world.
Coffee was good and we were there for an entertainment event as well with a local stand-up comedian, "Cindy G". She was great.
Great bluegrass music. We came last year for them and returned this year. We will return next year for them.
What a wonderful place! We stayed at this location through Harvest Host. We arrived and were immediately greeted by the owner Mister Chris, who helped us park our 5th wheel RV. He then gave us a personal tour of his magical establishment, a beautiful old train station that was built in 1912 that serves as his coffee house, as well as a museum of sorts where he showcases his eclectic art and memorabilia collections. He roasts all of his coffee himself in-house which is delicious and the food was also quite tasty. We arrived on a Saturday and there was a small farmers market with some beautiful fruit and vegetables, as well as fresh herbs and jellies, with families and their children playing in the large park which is part of this establishment. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks to Mister Chris and Ms. Sandy and the rest of the staff!
Really nice historical building. The coffee isn't that good:(
Such a neat place had no idea it was here.
A fine small-almost hidden... cool place to hang out.
A very peaceful atmosphere. Love the music!
Very CQQL place. Great coffee.
Absolutely a must visit! 👌
We went for the open mic and had a great time. They roast their own beans and the coffee was fantastic.
Love their coffee ☕️ 😍
They are caring, loving friendly people. I really enjoy playing my Acoustic Bass Guitar there when the have the music jams there. I highly recommend the place.
Really cool place. The music jam was awesome. 🎶💙
We absolutely love visiting The Depot! Everyone is so welcoming and the coffee and baked goods are the best ❤️ The Depot is very community oriented and there is always something to do there!
I love this place..found it by accident.
What a wonderful attraction and destination to seek out if you are anywhere near Frostproof, FL. This is not only a coffee stop, but an eclectic collection of train memorabilia, music memorabilia and an Art Gallery. There is even a stage and live performances on Friday evenings. We purchased some Mexico Dark coffee and some coffee mugs made by a local artist. The tracks are right beside the Depot, and twice a day you can see the train roll by. Plan on a couple of hours in Frostproof and check out Lake Reedy, as well. Hours are 8-1 most days, but call ahead to see if any special events are going on.
My favorite place in Frostproof!
A unique Harvest Host...visiting them is like living a dream. Super friendly family feeling hosts!! A blast of a coffee blend!!!
