This place is tricky to rate with the star ratings because their coffee and homemade cinnamon rolls are decent however all other food was just okay to their biscuits which are downright terrible, dry, crumbly, with an aftertaste of raw flower. Coffee at TuKro is better but the service here is better so the hunt for a reliable coffee shop w/ quick eats downtown still continues. Kahwa off CR-1 still reigns supreme in this category, just wish it was downtown. A final detractor for this shop would be the obnoxious music, ever song sounded the same like Enya going down with the ship over and over again. Had to get out of there asap to preserve my sanity. Grab coffee to go and nothing more 👍
Super cute shop with friendly staff and, most importantly, great coffee! I stopped by while on vacation and would’ve loved to come back and try some of their bakery items. Hopefully next time!
I ordered a latte which was fine and a cheddar & chive biscuit which was a bit dry. Their strawberry jalapeno jam looked like Smuckers jelly. Nothing to write home about. Their lemon curd cake is $10 and I don't believe it warranted that price as it was nothing special. You're basically paying for the location/ambiance.
Delicious Chai Matcha Drink!! 🍵💚 Great atmosphere! I would recommend everyone to stop by and visit and order a coffee and some goodies.
I had breakfast there this morning with my friend he ordered the gravy and biscuits and I ordered the spinach feta quiche it was given to us on cheap paper plates they have no type of hot sauce the quiche look like roadkill the cheese was hard it had no flavor it was horrible and the price was 7.99 my friends sausage egg and biscuit was the same microwaved eggs a cheap biscuit I order the coffee with milk and sugar it was all milk ice cold and my friend ordered a coffee total price was over $24 we could have had a good breakfast somewhere else which we did go to The alehouse very good food there don't waste your time or you.
This is a lovely local business in downtown Dunedin, Florida. Shop local for a great coffee and beverages, ice cream and desserts. A must stop!
Don’t waste your money! My friend and I decided to give this place a try and the barista messed up our order and then told us it would be an up-charge to fix it to what my friend had originally wanted—I told her that was fine. She then proceeded to take other orders, came back after over 5 minutes and asked if I still wanted her to remake the drink? I thought we had already established that 5 minutes prior while we were waiting on said drink to be remade. Then she tells us to come to the counter and to pay ALL over again for the second drink we never got to begin with because it was made wrong but said it was our fault? Awful customer service. Not only did we walk out of there paying for the second drink we NEVER got but then they wanted to charge us again for another one?! Never in my life. Also, out of the 2 drinks I paid for, the only drink I got was subpar. Starbucks is better than this place and with better customer service too. Won’t ever get our business again.
The gluten free bakery options were fabulous. The coffee is the best. The people were so nice. Love love this place. First time here.
Terrible service. We ended up asking for our money back. We ordered an iced latte. Three people who ordered after us got their drinks first. When we asked for an update the barista was very rude and smart-mouthed.
2 stars only because the Italian cake is yummy. I was really hoping to love this coffee shop but Our experience here was so bizzare. We ordered 2 lattes, mine was the smaller size with oat milk & and my bf got the larger size with almond milk. Mine was BURNING HOT. I burnt my tongue 😒. His was barely luke warm. The flavor syrup tasted weird too. The lady working apparently doesn’t know how to steam alternative milks properly. Also we got a red velvet roll (which was no more impressive than a little Debbie or walmart bakery) and a slice of the italian cake (which was delicious) and our total was $26. Either we were over charged for the lattes or the pastries are overpriced. The lattes & red velvet roll definitely weren’t worth the $.
Gave me the wrong quiche and refused to refund it or exchange for the proper one because I had taken a bite. I had no way of knowing what was in quiche until I took a bite… disappointing service for a cute shop
Stopped here on a bike ride for a caffeine boost. It's close to the Pinellas trail, which is a plus. I didn't get any baked goods but it all looked delicious. Next time I'll have to try something. I just got an iced coffee. The coffee was smooth, not too bitter. I really liked it. My only gripe with this place is the lack of outdoor seating (only two small tables to accommodate four people) and no bike rack in front of the store. There's a rack at the end of the block, but I like to keep my bike within view of where I'm sitting. I would still visit this place again for the pastries and coffee though.
Overpriced and Tasteless Food We were visiting Dunedin and this was the closest coffee shop to our hotel, so we decided to eat breakfast here which we thought would be better than our hotel breakfast. Boy were we mistaken! We gave them two chances - they failed both days. The first day we ordered a quiche - and it was nothing like a quiche - it was some egg thingy baked in paper! No crust, no side salad! They charged a lot for that little bitty thing and it wasn't any good. Their scone wasn't good either. The next day we had their breakfast sandwich and it was this tiny little sandwich which again they charged a lot for and it was totally tasteless! Their coffee wasn't very good either. I would stay away from this place and find a better coffee shop. Don't waste your money.
The coffee was so good, not quite as bitter as Starbucks.
My husband ate here while I was in work meetings on a trip. He said they had a ton of iced coffee options to choose from, and he devoured the quiche both days he went!
The service was great. The food was very bad and also very expensive. Great place to drink some coffee and enjoy downtown. Terrible place to eat breakfast or lunch.
Edit: Place is going downhill. 6 bucks for a coffee, they charged for sugar and what do I get for my overpriced cup? A bunch of coffee grounds in the bottom I have to chew through or sput out... WARNING!!!! The stickers they put on the sleeves have metal in them. Ownership should swap out for non-metal stickers. !!!!!!!! I brought a cup of coffee home and needed to heat it up. Saw a flash and when I opened up the microwave noticed a burn mark on the sticker. Coffee and pastries have been good so far, review would be 5 stars if not for the sticker.
Delicious! Does not disappoint. Coffee and desserts are very expensive. Food is affordable. Baristas are kind and creative. Coffees are extravagant. Sweet treats are fresh and comforting. The southern belle biscuits and gravy is tasty.
Great Cuban coffee. There are many other coffees to chose from and breakfast food, but I was there for the coffee. I’ve been several times for the strong best tasting Cuban coffee.
I went here for the first time and got a veggie quiche as well as an ice chai with oatmilk. The Quiches are 10/10. And don’t forget to get yourself a muffin as they are made fresh. This place is so awesome
