Just had a delicious Korean bahn mi at Fussy. Crunchy veggies, crisp fried chicken... Paired with a good hot coffee. Excellent
Great coffee offerings. Food is pretty good too. Sometimes hit and miss, but overall above average.
Great waitress/waiters in a great atmospheric restaurant. Breakfast burrito great. They let me use bathroom when I don’t buy anything (when walking home sometimes)! That doesn’t happen in new haven a lot! AND…the bathrooms don’t have a ten digit code to get in like Starbucks does! (Starbucks? Are we launching nukes or going to pee?) If I want to drop a quick deuce I will attempt also. fries are great too. Covid 19 handled nicely! Young women wear 3/4 shirts with belly button rings. I wonder if that’s required uniform ?
I have been here a few times, have always enjoyed my coffee(it’s delicious!) and the food I order. Nice staff and cool spot. It’s 5 minutes away from my job so I can come by on my lunch break-and 10 minutes away from my house. Today my friend and I stopped in to catch up. We noticed that it was packed, but we said no problem and decided that we would sit outside even though it was only about 55 degrees. It just so happened that there were 2 seats open against the windows and another patron nicely moved over so we could sit next to each other. We were talking, not loudly- actually lower than normal- and we kept getting dirty looks from the 2 girls next to us. I understand that this coffee shop is close to Yale and many people come to do work. But if you are coming to a public place, expect there to be noise or people talking. If you want quiet, go to a library. I was really turned off by that behavior. We are just 2 friends catching up. I completely understand that this is at no fault of the owners. I just post this as a warning if that kind of thing bothers you. We kept talking, as we are allowed to do!! I’ll be back- and I’ll bring more friends! 😝LOL
The iced lemon ginger tea is caffeinated -- or at least it appears to be, even though it is listed as herbal. The lemonade comes with (a lot!) of sugar. I recommend that this property seriously consider improving the clarity (or lack thereof) with which their products are described. There are very few individual tables or tables for small groups.
**Edit again … prices jacked up again, $30 for a salad and coffee… $5.10 just for a latte. Wth? They are just not that good… this is a desolate and windy block and there are regularly shootings on this road. Go elsewhere. 03.01.23 *Edit - pricing now as if you’re in nyc but without the benefits of nyc… on 09-29-22 it’s $26 for salad, a coke, & tip Beautiful place, come for the environment if you have plenty of time. Decor best in New Haven. Lovely seating and tables, and some nice art and plants. Coffee average, not as good as Blue State. Staff variable; guy stands around playing on his phone and looking cool while multiple people waiting for coffee.
Best Coffee on the CT shoreline! So glad I finally stopped by!
Awesome place to kick back with a coffee and... I love the vibe and atmosphere
Great place to read on a lazy Saturday, and the staff are helpful when it comes to bean selection for home.
I love the design of this place. The coffee is high quality (perhaps best in New Haven?) and the food is delish. Try the breakfast burrito and salsa.
Nice coffee + food, fun atmosphere and nice staff
Love their coffee, food, and the fantastic service. Recent price increases have made it difficult to come back though. Regardless, you won’t be disappointed.
THIS IS A REAL REVIEW AND NOT MADE UP LIKE OWNER STATES. I AM ONLY WRITING THIS BECAUSE I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE AND FELT LIKE SHARING IT. When I asked for just a regular coffee light and sweet they looked at me like I was crazy and pointed me towards coffee in a dispenser.. After tasting said coffee I almost lost the breakfast I had ate earlier that morning because the coffee tasted like morning rain due that a bird had bathed in. My guess would be it was coffee that was left from the day before because it wasn't even warm. Avoid this place like the plague since you could buy coffee that's better and cheaper from a Bodega. This is not a scam as they replied because I 100% went in there and made my own coffee which I pumped from a dispenser. Only time I ever went in there so maybe they changed their setup recently but I most certainly am telling the truth. It's typical when a place of business gets a bad review they call the person a liar or a scammer. Every review I've written has been 100% factual. I don't enjoy writing reviews at all so I only write ones where I have bad experiences and there have only been 5 recently and fussy coffee is one of them. Nothing personal I just believe on the day that I chose to go in a drink their coffee something was most definitely wrong with it.
Spacious place, clean dining area. Great tea and food. I didn't know what I should expect going in, but I was pleased. I had just gotten out of work when I visited, and upon entering, I ran to the bathroom realizing that my cotton dam was no longer sufficing and the red wave of agony was starting to flood. I was fortunate that the restroom wasn't occupied and immediately a small shelf caught my eye. I opened one of the drawers and alas, a blessing. A singular tampon. I praised the Fussy Coffee lords as they had given me the one thing I needed more than caffeine. At this point in time, it didn't matter if the beverages and pastries were less than I hoped, they had a tampon. Thus, I praise this facility without room for criticism.
Quiet, chill spot. Good food (creative, different menu) and good coffee.
Friendly staff. Really nice outdoor seating as well.
Excellent! What a wonderful place. So modern and neat. Coffee was great and the food was delicious!
This was my Sunday birthday brunch. It was amazing
Coffee is very good, nice atmosphere and the folded egg and cheddar biscuit is amazing. Sometimes the service is a bit off
Tasty coffee, must stop when in Farmington Canal Trail in New Haven
