Perfect to sit outside with your dog, some coffee and a bagel. Most chill place in Mystic.
Cute shop, but deeply unfriendly service. I tried to give them a few chances over the years but continued to have the same experience (where I felt like an inconvenience for stopping in). There are plenty of other places in town to grab a coffee who would appreciate your business. Edit in response to business reply - yes, definitely the correct business. I guess I should’ve said “a few chances over the past year”. Either way, as an example, one time I stopped in, I had to squeeze by the employee (owner? he’s always been there handful of times I came in) smoking outside with a friend just in front of the doorway, who then seem irked he had to come in and wait on me. I firmly stand by my original review.
What a very unique and rustic place. A true throwback! If you are looking for something interesting and special to do with a friends/family this is the place to visit. My finance and I pick a new coffee shop each weekend, it is something we will continue to do for years to come. This place tops the list of best coffee shops around! I got the drip coffee and my finance got the "pourover coffee" what an amazing experience for a morning cup of joe. A patron came in while I was getting my coffee and asked if they had any donuts, the owner said "savory one's" best answer!
Excellent coffee for black coffee drinkers. My girlfriend liked her tea. The draw here is the aesthetic. It tells the story of the owner and you'll spend a worthy amount of time admiring the collection and its arrangement. I really dig the brown and yellow tones. Some items are for sale, some may not be? The girl at the counter was nice and working hard. The owner was having a busy morning. The effort that goes into running this shop is evident.
Very friendly staff, great coffee, amazing vibe. The decor and ambiance are really enjoyable!
Best place for an iced coffee, housemaid tea, bagels, or sandwhich! Also a great unique vibe! Friendly staff and welcoming environment! You may even be able to get in a game of cribbage during your stay! Put this on your list next time you visit mystic!
Go for the pour over coffee, go back again and again for the sandwiches, artisanal tea, antiques, and ambiance. Utterly charming, always delicious, a must visit!
Coffee tasted like soap. Online menu had muffins/pastries/etc., but the only food they actually have is bagels. How hard is it to have better coffee than Dunkin' Donuts?
I’ve been in here several times, to show friends and family, and each time I leave very uncomfortable and like I made a mistake. Great atmosphere but every time I go there I feel like an inconvenience to the barista and unwelcome. The shop is a destination itself and I wish it was a more fun experience but instead I leave feeling less than and judged. Would recommend any other place to get coffee in Mystic, everywhere else feels very welcoming.
Just happened to have found this fantastic little spot and I'd Highly recommend it! Everyone there is so friendly, it's super cool inside and just love the decor! Owner is such a cool guy! Don't pass on this place. Go enjoy a great tea, bite to eat and enjoy this quaint little groovy place.
The best coffee spot in Mystic!
What an awesome little spot. Simple menu, we just got coffee and some bagels. Super friendly service and the cold brew was top notch.
Great tasting fresh coffee at a really authentic, cozy artistic coffee house with tables that you can sit and play games or just listen to great music!
A must-visit spot, differing from some mass-market tourist traps in the surrounding area. A quaint, true ode to leather craftsmanship and artisan coffee/tea. They blend their teas in house, and have locally sourced goods. Townes Van Zant on radio :) The owner is a super kind local/ cares about the preservation of local businesses from a former, earthier Mystic CT. Do go!
The best of the best right here. Staff and owners are amazing too.
Looking for a refresh while wandering around scenic Mystic, CT? Pop into Lamplighter Trading Co. for perfectly brewed small batch cold brew coffee or a delicious blend of herbal tea. Relax in the cozy shop while you sip to the crinkling sounds of the in house record player. You can also enjoy the breeze and the “off the beaten path” sights from their outdoor cafe tables. Better yet, spoil yourself with some of the absolutely gorgeous and hand crafted leather wares by the shop owner. One of a kind pieces for sure!!
Great ambiance, coffee, shop options, and James is wonderful! Cute folky spot in town
I'm happy that this is what became of the former Green Marble. The coffee and decor are fantastic. I stop in whenever I'm in the area. The people complaining that they didn't stay open late or got a bad hot cocoa can kick rocks. If you want that sort of stuff, head to Dunkin'
Amazing coffee
Wonderful atmosphere, music, and vibes. One of the few authentic-feeling places left in over-commercialized Mystic.
