Amazing coffee and breakfast sandwiches. A must stop if you’re in the area!!
I was excited to try this place unfortunately I was disappointed with the quality of the food. I ordered an egg Benedict , two cups of yogurt, and bacon egg and cheese. The food was soggy, not tasty, not fresh,overpriced.. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Overall, the food was something I could make at home.
Great venue for a breakfast meeting. Food is mostly handheld options. Lots of beverage choices. Would recommend.
After my first visit I just had to go back and trying new things off the menu... Clean, well prepped foods and coffees, along with a friendly staff... a must try spot for great eatery...
Fantastic Cortado in cool industrial space with high ceilings, exposed concrete, and a cool looking pizza oven. Not sure if that was operational on a Saturday. Definitely coming back as it is perfectly situated on the drive between Boston and New York, and is the best coffee I've had on that route. Update May 2023: excellent sandwich, ok fries. Coffee was superb as before. Still looking forward to trying the pizza.
I travel to the area for work and always make it to this place for great coffee and food
Price for coffee too high. No restroom in place you half to go out into hall, but get a key 1st nice day and patio still not set up
Beautiful space. Quality product. Great small business to support!
Great customer service! Local café ☕ 💜highly recommend they have breakfast lunch & lattes will definitely visit again
The food was good. Service was fine. I didn't care for the placing your order and paying on an app for dine in. It took too much time as oppose to giving the cashier my order. But again this is the next generation thing🥴less human contact.
Best roaster in the area! The ambience is current and clean and the culture seeps through in every sip!
This coffee use to be amazing I use to go there all the time then they switched the coffee to a really strong coffee and it's literally undrinkable. They barely have anyone in there compared to other coffee shops that are packed. It definitely is the strongest cup of coffee in ct but not many people can drink it. There coffee was great before they need to switch it back people are looking to wake up in the morning not die from a heart attack. You'll go to birdhouse coffee and the place is swarmed with people so...there is something they are not doing right. The coffee there is strong but not like that. They need to switch the coffee back and offer more flavors for the lattes.
Disappointed in this location. Farmington & Plainville have the most amazing staff and inclusive environment. This location does little to accommodate gluten sensitivities besides offer bread for the sandwiches and blames it on the kitchen for not making anything else as well as say the other locations outsource their GF options. Also they wouldn’t honor the teachers discount and blamed that on both Rebel Dog’s owner saying it’s not allowed as well as also saying they will only honor Goodwins college staff. Lastly while waiting for my coffee which was delicious, the counter staff talked about other staff and were making comments about customers. I won’t go to this one again but highly recommend both other locations wholeheartedly.
I’ve never had a more disappointing breakfast. Avocado Toast for $9 was a single piece of burnt toast topped with a blob of mushed up avocado. Some red onions, sea salt, or even whole avocado slices would have spruced this dish up exponentially.
Great place to meet someone for a coffee. Lots of energy. Place was packed but the service was quick.
Very spacious and comfortable space to do work in while enjoying their drinks or foods. Staff is very friendly and informative. Has a lot of options but personally a fan of their Matcha and fries. It can definitely get very busy in there, so I would visit during non busy hours to get best experience.
They are the best! Coffee is really good! I placed an online order only to realize my bus wouldn't fit in their driveway and the barista was kind enough to run it out to me! So I'm going to have to edit my previous 5 star review, just based off of the managers attitude alone. I'm not normally on that side of town in the morning and I don't normally have a 30+ minute layover between my routes. Since my experience a few days prior was so stellar, I called ahead to make sure it was ok if they can run my coffee out to me one more time as my bus cannot fit in their parking lot. After the person that answered said it was not a problem and that they can do that, I placed my order online. After I got the text that said my order was ready, I pulled up to the side on Ensign street and waited. I gave them a ring and they said they would be right out. That's when the manager called me back and said there is no way they can let their workers risk hurting themselves to run my coffee out. Mind you the distance from the front door to my bus was about 15 feet. She asked me if I could pull into the lot and again explained to her my vehicle would not fit. She kept saying she can't have her workers running across the street and again I explained I was not across the street, I was on Ensign next to the door. I didn't expect a free service they don't normally provide, I tipped $5 on a $5 coffee. The level of hostility I was receiving as if I asked the barista to traverse the Sahara to deliver my coffee was absurd. Even McDonald's has no problem parking you and running an order out. The only coffee place in town that can accommodate our vehicles banned them because their new owner just had the lot repaved. I've been a customer of Rebel Dog since this location opened. I won't be back. I still appreciate the 2 workers who were willing to go above and beyond.
Very good food. Fast paced collage Cafe vibes. Food and coffee is absolutely amazing though
A little bit of pricey. 15 minutes I waited for just for a hot chocolate. I Ordered french fries a lot oil left on friend fries and over cooked.
The food is pretty mediocre, at least in my opinion. However the ambiance is great. And a nice little spot for East Hartford. I'll go back to try a few more times.
