I bought a dark roast coffee and it was great.
This is my absolute favorite place to go to for breakfast or lunch on the Shoreline!!The bread is simply the best!! I love the fact that there are no chemicals and they use all real ingredients!! Everything on the menu is delicious… From the sandwiches to the soups to the salads! I have tried everything!! But my favorite thing about G Cafe are the employees!! They always bring a smile to my face and they’re so sweet and such hard workers!!! Kudos to Meg and Samantha for doing such a great job as co managers!!! And Ani and Madison you are the best!! Thank you for all your hard work!! I am one customer who appreciates you immensely!!i🥰🙏

If you’re looking for a quick breakie spot don’t even hesitate about going to the G cafe in Branford. The two ladies who run upfront are extremely kind, prices are more than reasonable especially for the quality of food and their drinks are phenomenal. This place is such a gem. Iced chai is a 10/10 as well as their lattes. The “pragels” are wonderful as well. I do wish the music wasn’t as loud but I truly enjoy everything else about this cafe.
This place is perfection! I’ve eaten here for breakfast and lunch on a few occasions and it’s always exceptional.
My wife and I enjoy their sandwiches, salads, coffee and desserts. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will even bring your order to you outside if you are sitting at one of the outside tables. My wife has enjoyed the gourmet salad as well as the chicken salad sandwich and coffee drinks. Our food is always very fresh and the portions are very generous. I like rich chocolate desserts and their brownies definitely meet this preference. Even if you arrive after 1pm, they always have a lot of their food items availability. The outdoor seating is nice in the better weather and there is plenty of inside seating. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.
Very hit or miss depending on the day. Yesterday however, was just awful. I got the avocado toast with poached eggs and bacon. The avocado put on the toast was bruised, brown, and barely there. The eggs were basically hard boiled. The doughnut my daughter ordered was the worst thing I've tasted in a long time. I was shocked when she said she didn't like it, so I tried it. It tasted like it had been fried in fish fry oil. 🤢 I also ordered the toast with butter and jam. The butter was rock hard, and the jam had a hair in it. It doesn't help that it was my birthday, so I'm extra salty about it. I will not be returning.

Fantastic breads! The croissants and other pastries are good too. Like most small bakeries, the selection gets limited as the day goes on, so call ahead with an order or get there early.
