We went to Saguache Works on a whim. I needed ski gear for a middle school group and walked out with a pile of great stuff for under $30! While we were there the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The grocery was pretty amazing too…lots of local products that you can’t find at the big chains.
Always many great items at very reasonable prices. They have a large variety of items in both the Thrift side and the grocery side. My latest trip I picked up some LPs, VHS tapes, a book on wooden ship building, chicken feeder, and a bottle of Dr Bronner's. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is easy and plentiful.
We had fun!
Best small town grocery store out there! So many local ingredients and products! Extremely friendly staff too! Some people forget how short staffed everywhere is, grateful small businesses like this are still open.
Extremely rude worker. Was unlawful the things she said to me while in the store. Will never give my money to this facility due to that. I would like to contact the owner to tell my experience to but was unable to find their contact information.
Located in historic Saguache, this local market has kind staff and hard to find foods.
Saguache Works is the perfect store for Saguache; itself one of the hidden gems of Colorado. Having been an irregular participant in the Saguache community since 2008, I have had the pleasure of seeing different offerings come and go on 4th street. While stores in Crestone can feel like a conflict between the mountains of Colorado and the culture San Francisco, Saguache Works is the perfect blend of quality wares and the true feeling of Saguache.
This is a great place for food and for items that are thrift store but quality.
We drive from Denver to Durango every other month. This stop is healthy and fun! Free books for the children in the thrift store and I've found 2 great outfits! The produce is local and the only organic food on the route. In addition, there are free bathrooms that are clean. A great stop for those who want a better choice than the gas station.
Kinda disappointed because they were asking for prices of new things I could buy at was mart for used items!
