By far some of the best espresso I’ve had! Worth going to if you’re into tasting notes and such.
Outstanding atmosphere, friendly staff and the coffee is so good. Oh, the snacks are awesome too! I love the patio 🙂
The cold brew was actually strong unlike most other coffee shops! It made my hair tingle which I know it’s got some kick then!
Dark heart has the best coffee in Loveland. Dark heart is also the slowest place to get coffee in Loveland (maybe even all of Northern Colorado). In my original review I wrote that problems or mistakes are few and far between, however, in the last year, I’ve had to eat those words. Every time I come in there’s some sort of problem- whether they’re out of drip coffee, or just plain forget about my drink. Today’s visit was the tipping point for me- waited in line for 33 minutes to order a drip coffee, and then sat watching the cup for another 7 minutes waiting for them to fill it from the urn of already-brewed coffee. I could have done it myself, but it’s behind the bar. I have really tried to give this place lots of chances, it really is the best coffee in Loveland, and the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is great. But a the best coffee shop in the world that can’t get a drip coffee in your hand in a reasonable amount of time isn’t worth visiting. And to add to that, they keep leaving an inch of room when I order a 16 oz with no room. (Pic below) I hope this turns around, or whatever is causing all the problems and slowness gets solved, until then, I think I’ve had my last cup of dark heart for a while. (Original review from 2022) Dark heart is my favorite coffee shop in Loveland. Previously they sourced beans from excellent roasters around the country, but they’ve recently started roasting in-house. Their roasts, and bean choices are incredible, one of the best in northern Colorado. The atmosphere is great, the staff is always friendly, and the ownership is always quick to correct any problems (which are few and far between)
What an amazing experience! A true specialty coffee menu with intriguing choices and several top-tier roasters, an aesthetic that stands out from the decor of most shops, and a staff that makes you feel like the most important person in the room during your interaction. You guys rock! I was especially happy with the kombucha and the drip coffee.
The best espresso in Northern Colorado. After a few weeks in Italy, this is the place that measures up! Staff is delightful and the patio is worth waiting to get a spot.
Look, I stand by my previous review, with a caviat: they MUST work on their tea. Tea leaves are meant to be steeped and then removed to avoid bitterness. Dark Heart brews their tea in a French press style device. It's the worst. The care they put into their menu composition and ingredients is unmistakable.
Delicious iced coffee with house made nut milk! Great service on a busy holiday- Easter. They were happy to correct a little problem ❤️
Great coffee, love the breakfast options, and the fact they have GF toast. Anytime I’m I’m Loveland this place will be my go to.
Love this adorable coffee shop everyone is so inviting who works there the coffee and teas are absolutely delicious right next to my work which keeps me going through my work day. Highly recommend if your looking for a cozy coffee shop vibe with high quality coffee and tea
This is a fun little coffee shop! Great atmosphere! I had the Rose tea it was amazing.
Always love stopping here when I’m in Loveland! Good drip coffee, awesome smokey mocha, and a cool vibe.
Unfortunately, I found nothing that stood out coffee or environment. Hence the average amount of stars
Finally visited Dark Heart after multiple recommendations from my wife and one of her closest friends: love it! Friendly people, a comfortable space, a semi-secluded patio, and excellent drinks (lattes, kombucha, and more). I'll definitely be back.
Best chai latte I’ve had in Colorado. Very sweet baristas. Profoundly cozy vibes.
Super cool vibes with very friendly staff. This is located in downtown Loveland and even has a great patio for warm days! Highly recommend the mocha coffee.
Hands down the best coffee I’ve ever had. Whether it’s a single origin, or one of their blends, you really can’t get better than this!
Great drinks, really love the kombucha. Usually pretty busy and most of the drinks do take a little while to make, so give yourself plenty of time to wait. It's worth it!
A coffee shop with a great atmosphere. The dark wood and steel interior stands in lively contrast to the light, flowery espresso and a range of delicate pastries. Excellent coffee and the perfect place to spend the morning reading and basking in the sunlight from the large windows.
We live in Denver, but come to Loveland regularly to visit Dark Heart Coffee. One of our best discoveries--it's not your typical coffee place.
