Great food! Variety of options. Staff is hardworking and very friendly. Bring cash or a check, Does not accept credit or debit cards. Great small business to support if your in town.

Long wait, ordered chips and salsa never came, they forgot my order, and, I ordered 3 burrito dinner with mild chili , I received a 2 burrito dinner with hot green chili, and I didn't get to eat with the party I came with , they had to wait on me to finish my dinner.......yes was busy but they were serving other people before we even received our chips and salsa. Felt totally ignored...

For 50 years I have enjoyed Shorty's delicious authentic Mexican food. It's as good now as it was in 1970.

As always, the food was delicious. The only problem I have with Shorty's is the fact that you never know for sure if they are open. From my experience it is pretty hit or miss. It's well worth the drive from Lamar if you could be sure that they were open.
