Coffee was good. Service was also good. But the breakfast sandwich was seriously the worst one I have ever seen in my entire life. It was like a tablespoon of chopped sausage mixed into literally about 3 eggs worth of liquid and then microwaved. Absolutely disgusting. They did give me a refund without fussing which I appreciated. But that sandwich was so atrocious I will definitely never come back here again.
Nice little coffee shop, food was good for it's price, and the coffee is very tasty and worth every cent( I even got seconds lol). Despite the other reviews, the workers seem super nice and chill.
Krystine is such a wonderful person. Her kindness and work ethic was amazing and great to see. She has to work twice as hard to make up for her managers awful attitude. Unfortunately the manager is crabby, rude and awful to customers, we avoided the shop if the manager was working because she just ruined our whole day. Owner should really rethink his manager staff
I agree with all the recent reviews on here about service. The gal working the register could barely even crack a smile or say something other than related to the order, which was very short and snippy. The gal behind the coffee bar was really nice! I know there's staffing shortages in this area but the person who owns this place seems clueless as to what's going on day to day. Breakfast sandwich looked yummy but was flavorless. No sauce and was very dry.
Such a wonderful location but this bad attitude barista needs a snickers !!!!
Coming to a town based in hospitality you wouldn't expect such an unpleasant experience just ordering coffee and a sandwich but River Blend offers the finest in poor customer service and bad attitudes. Avoid this place if you like having a pleasant start to your mornings.
I have been to Glenwood springs many times for vacations and everytime I go to this coffee house, I think the ladies working here will be nice and welcoming...NOPE. Went to get coffee and food, The lady at the counter was extremely short and rude despite being staffed with just her. Not welcoming one bit. Food and coffee were great but horrible service. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless your ok people treating you like you ruin their day.
I was a little wary to go here with all the negative reviews but I enjoyed the coffee and service at River Blend. Both were very good, making this a worthwhile stop in GWS!
When your bagel is burnt, don’t expect an apology but do expect eye rolls from the lady (lady with tattoos) who’s making them when asked for another one. Another staff member noticed that and had to come and apologize on her behalf. I live in nyc and have seen much busier staff with good attitude, get a new job if you are miserable here, no need for that attitude on me.

Great place, coffee is good and you know how I'm with coffee, pastries ok and Yogurt Parfait was fresh and yummy, there is this girl lovely that works there, she has a lot of tattoos, quite thin, she is very special, she warned me about not arguing with her because she was the one preparing my food, I guess she was having a rough day, hope she is doing great!!!
Being short staffed is no excuse for lacking manners. If the two women here are so miserable making mediocre coffee and warming up stale food, then perhaps it's time for them to go into something more suitable with their lack of personality. I'm sorry you're so miserable. I'm so sorry you hate what you do. I'm sorry your sour faces lead your days. You hate it and it shows. But don't take it out on the coffee. And don't take it out on the tourists who funnel millions of dollars into your community.
Went there a few weeks ago for a quick breakfast. The coffee was a little bit watery and burnt but the breakfast bagel we got was okay and filling.
If I could give zero stars I would! Very rude staff. When I asked for a gluten free breakfast sandwich I was asked if it was allergy related or preference! When I said allergy, they snapped at me and said" clearly you can see it is going to be contaminated " Don't advertise that you do gluten free if you have no idea how to clean your counters! I drove specifically to your location because you advertise gluten free! Your attitudes and customer service sucks!
Being a manager in the retail industry, I enjoy to go on vacation and be on the other side. Unfortunately not once but twice my wife and I had nasty/horrible service. It is time for a change in staff or at least an intervention. On a positive note they are in a good location and open early. With staffing issues it causes all staff to have issues and be overwhelmed. Time to fix the issues. Though it is time for us to find a new coffee shop or the owner of the company should reach out to all negative reviews and apologize. Thank you
An excellent cup of coffee and one of the best breakfast sandwiches ever!
Great staff and vibe of the place. Got a chai latte with oat milk and it was so delicious. You can get it sweet or spicy and I tried sweet.
