Very very nice people. Great drinks, great service!! Very welcoming and good and fresh drinks and snacks. Thank you!
Great staple for Durango. Great coffee and boba and awesome selection of magazines you can get anywhere else nearby.
I stopped here with my boyfriend while visiting Durango and we had the best smoothies ever! I definitely recommend the Tropical Twist with Mango boba poppers:) Hands down the best boba drink I have ever tasted! Made from real fruit and family owned, places like Boba Tea don’t even compare. Such kind owners/workers and a super cool place to hang out and drink smoothies or eat gelato when you need to sit after walking. I can’t wait to come back!
This is a lovely place for cold treats, especially if you are walking from the train museum down the street. They have an outdoor window for shaved ice. Indoors they have fresh gelato. We had the gelato, it was delicious and the staff very VERY FRIENDLY and helpful. I appreciated the shaded outdoors seating areas. It's easy to overlook b/c it doesn't pop up on search for dessert, ice cream, or gelato. But they definitely have cold and delicious treats!!!
Enjoyed their gelato and boba teas, but there were many more options - one of our group chose a smoothy instead. Easy walking access (two blocks) from the downtown train depot makes this a refreshing stop after your train ride. Pass up the chain ice cream place and go to this local option instead!
Shaved ice transported me back to the big island!
Awesome Hawaiian shaved ice! Very nice server !
Nice local joint! Only place I can get Bi+ch magazine in the area :)
First visit to this warm, cozy and welcoming store. Keenan greeted us and made the most yummy Honey Vanilla Latte, Turmeric Latte and then when we saw the fluffy gelato we couldn't resist the Salted Caramel yumminess!! Such a fun place to browse and sweet upbeat conversation. A must to visit!!
As I've mentioned in other reviews of coffee places around the country, when we roll into town we try the coffee. Durango Colorado is the city for it! Magpies Newsstand is amazing for the gifts and snacks whole walking and shopping around downtown Durango, but the speciality drinks!!! The kids got the Italian sodas that were 🔥🔥🔥 my wife and I got the Butterbeer Latte 🤯 and the Reese's Mocha! Perfect for a cold Colorado day spent downtown.
We stopped into this cafe over the weekend to get some Gelato after dinner. Our daughter (aged 6) noticed a bunch of photos of Col Josephine Thompson who flew medivac helicopters for the US Army. Now OUR daughter shares the same first name as Col Thompson and wanted to meet her. Col Thompson took some time to talk to Josie, answered her questions. Now at school this morning Josie is talking all about the real life hero she met, who has saved 1000's of people and has the SAME name as her! Thanks so much!
Do yourself a favor and visit this little shop. Both times we went in the owner was in there (with her family). She's incredibly nice, patient, and conversational --- so is her daughter who also works there! We love Italian gelato, the staple of this ice cream spot, so we were thrilled to grab a few scoops to go. Delicious!! If we come back to Durango, rest assured, we will be there again!
Good gelato. They have good prices on many items
This place is an absolute gem! The customer service is wonderful and the treats are amazing. I wish I lived closer so I could come every day!
This has always been a wonderful place to relax and grab a cup of coffee and a magazine. As a token of appreciation - anyone who shows us a receipt from this location will receive $5.00 off their phone repair or purchase. Consumer Device Repair 101 E 31st Street. 10-6pm M-Sat.
Good food, coffee, and great service. We had a vegetarian breakfast burrito and spinach egg sandwich. The light roast drip coffee was tasty and they offered non-dairy milk options.
The honey vanilla latte is amazing! Breakfast burritos are great too. Awesome service!
Magpies is surprisingly large once you get inside. They've got a decent selection of snacks, foods, and other things you can find in a little convenience store. The staff is kind and quick in filling orders, which are of course delicious coffees. I highly recommend the Bob Marly Mocha, it's absolutely delicious and made with banana and coconut, which was delightfully reminiscent of a banana latte I had found in Japan and miss having. They're creative and nice to pop into, with great prices. Will definitely stop in again when I come through Durango in the future.
Rude people behind me. Employees did nothing to calm the situation.
Great place to grab a smoothie and a newspaper
