Nice place. People were super friendly. Employees were awesome. Had a recommendation to try "The Float". Definitely interesting and not what I would normally order but tried something new. Chocolates were amazing. Cost for everything was decent.
Honestly, this is one of my favorite places to stop in every time I am in Durango. They have very unique and delicately crafted coffee and hot chocolate concoctions, that will keep your tastebuds craving more. You also get to see the truffles being made in the back. All in all this is an experience rather than a store, unfortunately the truffles are overpriced in my opinion which is why this is getting 4 stars instead of 5.
Best coffee in town! Attitudes are a little posh and I’ve never been to a coffee shop that wouldn’t let me order a side of whip cream, but if you want coffee that tastes great, you won’t be disappointed!
When we walked in we were greeted by knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. Stopped for coffee and left with much more!
We went in here for dessert and I was amazed at the selection of truffles they had in their case. The employee we deal with was great. He listed all of them so we could make our selection. I will defiantly go back next time we are in Durango.
Excellent service Unique Chocolate and cocktail pairings
This place was a pleasant surprise, the menu is extensive and the customer service excellent. We stopped in for coffee after dinner; I was just expecting coffee in a paper cup and chocolate in a bag, what I got was an experience. Everything was presented with quality ingredients and care. I had the Mocha and my wife had an Irish coffee that came with a piece of chocolate. She said it was the best surprise ever because the chocolate went so well with the Irish coffee.
Delicious chocolates, decadent hot drinks and delightful people working there. Can you ask for anything more?

Objectively better than just a coffee shop, since chocolate also has caffeine. Basically, all their espresso bevies will have more of that sweet, sweet caffeine than others around town.

They are so friendly and lovely people. I will come again tomorrow. The chocolate and coffee are so good. Come back with the choc box, you will get one choc for free.
Animas Chocolate is a must go to shop when in Durango. The hot chocolate here is so special. They add a stick of cinnamon for a unique flavor. There is a hot chocolate with chili in it for a little kick for spice lovers. The truffles are all wonderful and make a great gift to take home for friends and family. You can't do much better than walking around beautiful Durango sipping on yummy hot chocolate.

Do yourself a favor and stop by this little gem!! We started off with a classic hot chocolate and ended up ordering an additional 5 times, trying different drinks, croissant, truffles and cookies! Everything was great! The whiskey chaider is worth traveling from TX for! Holy cow, what I would give for that recipe! 😉 The staff was so friendly! The place was clean and organized well! 10 out of 10 for this wonderful place!
Stopped in and picked up some souvenirs for our family. While there, Kyle offered us a sample of their delicious hot chocolate and made us feel right at home. He is a true asset to your establishment. One of the things we purchased were the chocolate bars with toffee. They melt in your mouth. Lots of yummy things to choose from, you won’t be disappointed.
This is a must visit local chocolate shop. Amazing hot chocolate, great truffles, and lots of great gift options to bring home. We booked a family chocolate making tour online to keep the kids busy over Christmas break and it was amazing.
Wonderful little chocolate and coffee shop! Spouse ordered an El Bandito Express and I ordered an Upper Animas drinking chocolate. The store was so pretty, we decided to have our drinks there and they were brought in very pretty blue cups and saucers (honestly, I would have bought a set of I saw them for sale). Purchased chocolates, honey and a t-shirt to go and all of the staff was super helpful and friendly. Next time I'm in Durango, I'm planning ahead to take their chocolate tour!
This place is fantastic. We walked in and were immediately greeted by their amazing staff. The hot chocolate is off the chain good. You can tell how much pride they put into their craft. The entire staff was so welcoming and friendly. 5 Stars all the way. If you are in Durango don’t miss it.
