My brothers and I spent a week in the area, we enjoyed a delicious meal every day at MJ's. Good food, worth a wait!
Family run restaurant with fresh and delicious food
Waitress was way short handed for a busy weekend. Everything else was great.
Very good food. great service.
so good staff if very friendly and food was super good! eggs where slightly underdone but that was it, amazing would recommended to everyone!
Decent breakfast food. Serving was a bit on the small side. Friendly service, but a VERY long wait.
This is a very cool family restaurant in Creed. If your up this way, please stop by. It's worth the time.
Best iced tea and breakfast in Colorado!
Small diner, very busy at the time. Only one employee taking orders, serving customers, running the cash register, which resulted in a longer wait time. Good food.
Good service, good food, very friendly.
Friendly local place with good food and good service.
Filthy place will not go back. Unfriendly staff under cooked steak
Good local eating spot.
This was hands down the the most hideous excuse for food I have ever experienced. My breakfast burrito was a hollow cold shell of a tortilla with maybe a handful of scraps like dried meat confetti thrown inside. The cheese on top wasn't even melted. To add to this injustice was the bill. For 4 breakfasts our cost was 53$. Im outraged at best. Travelers be warned. You would be better off heating up a hungry man on the engine of your car.
Small town If you're from a small remote mountain town of 400 people, or can appreciate having any kind of a restaurant available for eating out, then go to MJ's. The food is homemade to order and fresh...always good ...no matter what. I love the breakfasts, the pork tenderloin sandwich, BLT, macaroni salad, home made chicken tenders, and more. Service is typically limited to one cook and one waitress. You deal with it. If you're entitled and expect quick and available service at all costs, then why are you in Creede?
Good food and friendly staff
Wanted to grab a dessert and coffee to go on the way out of town . It was 1:45 in the afternoon. Hours online said open until 2:00pm. Place was already closed. Not impressed at all. Should at least be open until posted hours.
I detoured into Creede (and planned on spending a few days in the area) to learn more about the geology and collect rocks. After getting yelled at by Ken at the Q rock shop next to the visitor center (and I guess, yelled at me in a nice way? Maybe Ken is hard of hearing, he yells a lot.) I asked Ken where the best place to eat was and his face got flush, and I knew he was going to yell something. He did. “MJs!” he shouted. So I went to MJs. There were two four tops seated inside and only one person working the floor. It looked like two or three people in the kitchen. I asked if I could sit outside and ordered two breakfast burritos (one for there, one to go) and as much coffee as she could bring me. Another couple and their dog were at one of the picnic tables, so I sat near them and started studying all the guides I’d picked up at the visitor center. Creede has a heck of an outlaw history with one of the main characters a fellow named Soapy. More people came in/left and as the tables turned it was clear that bussing tables wasn’t on the job list of the three in the kitchen. One of the old men at an inside table had a heck of a cough. Each time he hacked inside, the girl at the table behind me pretended to be coughing up a hairball. I had a hard time not laughing out loud. Savage. The waitress delivered my burrito and had nothing else for my empty coffee cup. I had my water bottle, so I wasn’t thirsty. The table behind me (6 top ordered) and then she vanished. While waiting for the check I bussed all the outside tables. I went inside to pay and tipped her an extra 10 spot since I knew what it feels like to be slammed like that. Plus, coming out of covid, you must cut places some slack. I did deduct a star though since I only got one cup of coffee.
Delicious food and excellent service!
