UPDATE May 25: Spoke with Owner/Manager Ryan. He apologized for the poor experience, promised to do better and asked us to return. We will try R&R again soley based on Ryan's professionalism and willingness to make things right. Looking forward to the next visit. May 20: Save your $. You're better off eating at McDonalds. Let's be honest here... we live in the age of mediocrity and R$R is no different. Expect less than average food, long wait times for coffee, an indecipherable ordering system, non attentive staff, barely clean restrooms and "I give no sh#ts" service. The 2 egg plate was a joke - teeny tiny portions and one bacon strip broken into 4 pieces. Stupid place, shameful value and terrible experience. Pity the good people of Black Forest. Pity for accepting such mediocrity.

The girl at the counter serving coffee is treating customers like garbage, telling people she is too busy to make their coffee meanwhile talking/flirting with other employees. We waited nearly an hour to receive food, there seems to be no manager at all. There is 0 pressure on employees to do their jobs, and the tables were all filthy. Definitely need to make sure there is a manager on shift, especially on a Sunday with the large rushes.

I had two meals here and two coffees during my short visit and both were amazing. The staff was nice, the owner was incredibly personable and the atmosphere is everything you’d picture about coming up to this part of Colorado. It’s both homie and rustic with a cabin-esk vibe, a lot of hardwood accents everywhere. If you have time to kill, this is the place you can take a breath and relax while sipping on coffee or having a solid meal. Definitely recommend. Side note: this quiet dude in a chair was staring at me the whole time but he seemed friendly enough.

This is one of my favorite places in the Forest for coffee, pastries, and breakfast burritos. The owner Ryan is awesome - he recognizes regulars and welcomes them in with a casual - "OH I have a drink for you!" I love that he is always trying to think of different ways to make a new coffee drink so you'll never get bored. The eggs mainly come from the local farm up the street and are also available for purchase. This place is perfect for outdoor seating, bar seating, or table tops. Come check it out for yourself.

I got the mango smoothie and it was FILLED LITERALLY TO THE BRIM of the cup. They do NOT SKIMP! I also got a bacon and eggs with fruit and potatoes breakfast and it came out looking and tasting so well! This is clearly staff who care about the quality of food they put out. We love R&R and will definitely be back many times!

Been coming here on and off (we live on the Westside of COS, cue the Cartman voice) for several years now. Friendly folks, great food, and the best damn coffee in town. One of our annual holiday traditions is to get the R&R Christmas Blend and exclusively drink that as soon as we can get our grubby mitts on it. Always worth the drive!

R & R is a friendly, Black Forest neighborhood gathering place. Some folks drive from outside of the Forest to eat here. The food is outstanding, prepared quickly and served hot. Staff is friendly and smiling and the owner, Ryan, will often stop by your table to chat for a few minutes.

Probably the best breakfast food I’ve had since moving here. Chicken fried chicken with gravy and breakfast potatoes were delicious. Coffee was great too.

Amazing place and amazing place, it's so cute and it has small town vibes! Highly recommend. Didn't try them but the homemade doughnuts looks awesome! Highly recommend the steak and eggs for breakfast!

Best coffee. Best atmosphere. Best cinnamon rolls. Best place to take out of town guests. Best place to sit and read or work. I just love this place.

Incredible homemade breakfast food in a very enjoyable rustic atmosphere! My wife and I stopped by for brunch the other day and the food was amazing. We both had omelettes and they came with the perfect amount of food at a very reasonable price as well! You can tell the family that runs the cafe cares about their product too, we overheard a waitress apologizing to another guest that their food would take a bit longer because they were remaking it since it didn't meet the chef's quality standards. We can't wait to go back for breakfast again!

This family-owned café has friendly staff, good food and great coffee. They're still struggling to return to pre-pandemic volumes, which affects things like their coffee bean roasting and some offerings. We try to support them all we can as a local, small business.

First time here. No paper menus so you have to order on a kiosk or by QR code . The food was okay, I ordered pancakes. One thing I can say which was an annoyance was the girl behind the counter, dark hair, blue shirt,, she was obnoxiously loud talking to a customer in front of her. She was saying things that may come off offensive to others and even used foul language with children customers coming in and standing there. So loud I could barely converse with my friend next to me. Other than that the diner is super cute

One of the first places ate at when I moved here in 2008 and I'm still going because I love the food, coffee, and staff.

Yum. Great coffee. Great pastries. (Had the cinnamon roll). Breakfast burrito will fill you up, but not to the point of it being uncomfortable.

A black forest hidden gem. I didn't know that they were more than a coffee shop, but just went with our neighbors for brunch and had an excellent omelet, while my wife had a bbq sandwich which she said was one of the best she's ever had. They serve breakfast and lunch up until 1pm. All their food is freshly prepared on site. Their breads and pastries are just like Mom used to make. Definitely worth a trip and our neighbors said the coffee is sooo good

Got a lovely 20 oz latte. Got a sammich (sic) as well, with sausage. The Barista's made a wonderful cup of coffee and the kitchen made a wonderful sandwich. The atmosphere is great here...you should stop by.
