We came in about 11:00 and were the only ones there. It was clean and inviting. The menu had lots of options that sounded delicious. We ordered and waited for 40 minutes for two items. Neither meal was impressive. The bottom of my biscuit was so tough that I couldn't cut through it without a lot of effort. The bacon was perfectly cooked, and the cheesy hash potatoes were tasty. My daughter did order gelato and she said it was good. We just won't be back because it took so long to get our meal, and it was overpriced for the amount and quality of the food. We wanted to like it.
You'll have to wait a good hour for someone to even acknowledge you. Ended up just walking out.
I just went for the first time today(05/18/2023)! The staff was lovely!!! They were so kind, helpful, and friendly. Asseniya(I am positive I spelt that wrong I’m sorry) was wonderful and so was Dylan! They really made our day and I will definitely be back!! I also have a gluten allergy so was so happy to see all the gluten free options. Thank y’all for such a great experience!!
Very cute place! Perfect for a first date. Staff is very friendly. I love their menu options, however, the food looks better than it tastes. I ordered Salmon and felt that it was a bit overcooked. Nevertheless, it was still pretty good. Got to taste several of their gelatos and concluded that the Red Velvet was the clear winner for me. They didn't pick up our plates so we had to have our gelatos with dirty, empty plates on a very small table, but they were so nice and polite that it's easy to forgive them. I recommend this place for a nice, peaceful meal, drink and/or dessert.
Pineapple toast and loaded breakfast was delicious. As well as the Italian soda. Would recommend this place. Plan to come back again
Lady told us to have a seat because we were getting food and she kept taking other people's orders and never came over. Worst service ever. Maybe they need to hire more people. It's sad because the first time we went here it was a nice experience
Love the magic that makes this place so special. The love of food and flavor is all that matters to make you transfer you to another realm of blissful tastes, a sense of wonder and make every tourist feel like they are your family....and family is live and is, all love is food! Super chill atmosphere with great food! I was surprised to see the breakfast menu had such a great variety. I thought this was just a coffee and tea place but it's so much more! It's not great if you need to have a private discussion but if you want to get together with friends this is perfect.
Staff was very friendly, food, tea, and gelato where delicious and atmosphere was great!
Ordered online order. Went to pick up when it said it should be ready and the lady said "I'm sorry I didn't see the ticket they are just starting it now and it will be a while" I asked how long is a while and she said 15 minutes. I cant with these places!! What was the point of ordering ahead of time. Definitely not coming back to this place!!! I would give 0 stars if I could
Awesome atmosphere. Food was pretty dang good. Lots of vegan options. Took a little time to get, but made to order stuff always does. Loved it.
We waited for our food for over an hour. They were not busy, either. I had the feeling they had lost the ticket. The owner came in, and we explained the situation. Not evan an apology! He just got very defensive and talked about the volume of business they do (not while we were there). The food was okay but certainly NOT worth the wait. Do not waste your time!
We ended up here for lunch today and I would not recommend coming here unless it's for the ice cream. I ordered the garlic Tuscan salmon, fish and chips, and a kids menu macaroni and cheese. They brought out a fish sandwich, later I realized the woman behind the counter put that on my order instead of the fish and chips. So they were kind enough to make what I asked for. The salmon was incredibly small for almost $20. About the size of a cassette tape. It could have used some rice or something. And the kids macaroni and cheese was from a box and it was watered down. They didn't give us a spoon, so my husband had to go peak into the kitchen to find someone. The spoon we got was for stirring a tall coffee. Long skinny handle and a tiny spoon head. Talk about difficult to use. The entire experience was ridiculous. The food took awhile to come out, considering we were the only ones who had ordered anything. I let my kids get some ice cream for the ride home since their lunch was pathetic. I definitely won't be coming back.
I would highly recommend! Great spot for coffee and affogato! The staff were super sweet and amazing! They had great vegan gelato options! I will definitely be going again!!
Javalato is an adorable little restaurant with an excellent vegan menu, delicious Gelato, and uniquely delicious coffees and teas. The atmosphere is perfect for studying or a date. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend trying anything from here, everything that I've tried so far has been delicious
Great customer service & she offered a taste test right from the get go! Cute shop, clean, good variety & reserved parking spots for a few spots in a busy parking lot!
This place is no good in anyway. Looking for a sweet treat for my kids, and myself. There was a hair in my son's scoop of Gelato and my daughter didn't feel well after eating hers. I also ordered some food for myself and there was no flavor. Waste of money, time, and my daughter with an upset stomach. Not a happy mama.
If you are hungry don’t go here —portions are very small. If you want good quality tasting food — don’t go here, no flavor and doesn’t even put what you order in the food. I ordered AVOCADO toast, wanting AVOCADO. This was an order that I picked up. Got home 15 minutes later and NO AVOCADO on the toast. I also ordered a kids cheese quesadilla. My son is a picky eater and loves tortillas, but does not like bread. This was a very small round breaded, two pieces together with no cheese and some kind of fake meat. He started crying and didn’t eat it. I called to tell them about my messed up order and the owner Jeff refused to reimburse me. Very poor customer service, you should ALWAYS make your customers happy. Will not be going back here ever again.
The place is honestly cute and quaint but absolutely messy, dirty and not well maintained. Not sure they are short staffed or only clean twice a day, but the tables are stacked with past customers foods/waste and the “clean tables” were not clean rather sticky. Quality of food is decent not something we’d think to go back to and try. Hope the maintenance inside can be improved that will probably make the experience and environment far better.
