by far the best sandwiches I've eaten in my entire life. We were travelers from Tennessee

The mocha, breakfast sandwich and special lemon pine nut cake were incredible. I would recommend stopping no matter what time, as the sandwiches and pizza looked fantastic. The service was great and the staff was friendly and helpful.

This place was great. Purchased two breakfast sandwiches (they were out of pastrami) and a mocha. Food was delicious.

It's at the Lumberyard in Whitethorn. Superb coffee. Picked up sandwiches to go. Gluten free bread available.

Mochas are rich but not too sweet. Rueben is unique, the pastrami is thick, not thin, and the Russian dressing is better than the usual thousand island. Also loved the use of what may have been focaccia instead of rye. Heard the caprese sandwhich was amazing too, delicious pesto. Thai tea was hit or miss. I didn't like it but my friend did. Too sweet for me and not enough tea flavor.

Applicable Adjective here: "humboldtian" all the way! In the rough of rural Southern Humboldt is this diamond-in-the-rough place. You will not have a better coffee in Berkeley or SF or Seattle (coming from real experience, nor a better fresh sandwich... and this place is amidst a lumberyard and rustic woodworking operation. Don't be bashful, you just drive right into the lumberyard!! Unique and humboldtian in its special way, quality in the rough

This place was a great find in the middle of nowhere. I couldn't believe the selection of fresh tasty food, coffee, espresso, and smoothies hidden in the middle of a lumber yard! We had their sandwiches, which were excellent, but the real star was the Cobb Salad. It was on par with any that I've had in SF. I recommend stopping by if you are looking for fresh tasty food made for you by friendly staff. This place is unbelievably good!

This little coffee & sandwich shop has always been great, ever since it first opened. Could be the best sandwich in the county. Well worth a stop on the way to the cove, or on the way back.

Incredible sandwiches, coffee, and milkshakes. Great service as well. The best meal someone could ask for after a hike on The Lost Cost.
