This was a lovely new place. We really enjoyed the décor.
I don't normally like sweet coffee drinks, but their Pumpkin Spiced Lattes are very good. 🎃☕ Update: New location not nearly as good and now overpriced. Pastries not very good. I miss the old Bean with its great atmosphere and good coffee. I would not go back to this location again.
I wanted to send it all back because it was so bad, but the sign said No Refunds. It was like everything was nuked in a microwave. Stick to the pies
Coffee is reaaaaaally NOT good. Maybe lattes would taste good, but we came for actual coffee. The coffee they have is just the regular dark, burnt coffee. Burrito is also a fail. Only great thing is how the place looks and the atmosphere. I would sit here and study or do my work, but only if I don't need to order anything.
The pros: Good atmosphere inside, friendly staff, and a fair bit of outdoor seating. They also have a pretty good assortment of pastries and cakes. The cons: I ordered a large coffee and a scone. The pastries are pre-wrapped in sealed plastic. They warmed mine up... still in the plastic! It was probably the worst scone I have ever tried. It was super sweet and rather mushy. Fortunately, I was sitting next to a trash can, so there it went. I love a good coffee, especially from a roastery, but the coffee was uninteresting, and I wasn't inspired to even finish it.
I still miss their old location tho… It was super Cozy! Love the merging in with The Batter Up bakery. Great Coffee deserves great pâtisserie! …And yes! Way better than that mermaid other cup of coffee. Love the staff. Always welcome you with a smile. Complementary chocolate chip cookies are amazing!!!
Coffee was delicious! Mark the Manager is such a sweetie. He’s very caring and so helpful. Definitely stop by and get a sweet treat and a coffee.

I love the Bean's Mexican coffee and Chai tea. They used to be a stand alone store. Now they share a space with a bakery. The one around the corner from my house is closed. But it's worth the drive!

I love the staff very friendly, the place it self it's very cozy, the decoration is base on baseball stadiums.
Cute coffee shop and bakery in one. They have a variety of drink options from hot coffees, cold coffees, espresso, hot chocolate, hot teas, and almond milk smoothies. I ordered the iced vanilla latte and the kids got a strawberry and Pina colada smoothie. The strawberry one was SO good I had to share some. They have customs cakes, cake slices, macaroons, cookies, cheesecakes and more in the bakery side. Plenty of seating from couches, tables, bar stools, and a bench along the window. There are also tables and chairs to sit outside too. Decor is super cute and the vibe is very relaxing. Wish I lived closer, it's really cool!
When Bean Coffee was on Ynez they were my favorite shop. Cool vibe for a small location but the best coffee. They’ve since moved and changed the recipe for my preferred drink. I’m not a fan of the new locations vibe and I tried and tried to like the drink but it’s just not the same. They staff are pleasant with the exception of one individual. The bakery people aren’t attentive, I waited and waited for service and when I did the cinnamon rolls were out, again. If all else fails, bring back the original recipes and ingredients.
Not the same since they merged with the bakery and changed location. This use to be my absolute favorite coffee shop, it really tasted amazing every single time! Since thee merge though, they’ve started using syrup flavors instead of their original powder flavors that made their coffees so much better than other places. They’re also cutting back on their expenses— cheaper not as tasty brands of milk alternatives, clearly cheaper cups, etc. but their prices still keep raising. Very upset my go-to favorite coffee shop is completely not the same anymore. I stopped going after multiple times leaving disappointed and then just recently tried again hoping something had changed and I would enjoy it again.. nope. Not the same. Not good anymore. Bring back the original amazing coffee bean please!!
The people are great here but if you get something lightly warmed be careful it was WAY TOO HOT!
Jaqueline is the best part of this coffee house. She's always extremely welcoming and helpful, paying attention to the customer and giving great service. Coffee is great here and the pastries are pretty good.
Loved the Red Velvet Cake and Double Chocolate Cake slices! They were moist and delicious. Ordered a Mexican Mocha hot drink but I didn't like the taste. It wasn't what I expected and I think it needed more cinnamon.
They advertise free cookie with purchase of coffee, but dont stock cookies. False advertising in my opinion. Also the Vanilla Chai Latte was very bland and just tasted like a $6 cup of warm milk. Bummed because I used to love this place.
I’m a regular customer since more than 3 years. And now that they are partners with the bakery, every time that I go is very inconsistent flavors, different baristas I love to get my ice blended matcha, is very simple to make and they always messed up, they make ice matcha, or they just put water instead of milk, some times they don’t put the extra scoop of matcha that I always ask for And they lie, they mix coffee with my matcha last time I went at 5 pm they refuse to do my drink saying that the coffee side was closed earlier, I hope that the manager or at least the owner offer better training in this area and also customer service, I am not a rude person I am very patient actually but I just can’t believe that some employees don’t put enough effort and attention to detail, if I’m paying more than 5 dollars for a drink I really spect a quality drink or at least with some flavor.
Not even close to a decent place for espresso drinks anymore. I came back because it was a good place to get a quality latfe. No more. Maybe it was because they won't pay enough for a barista that has a clue but who knows. It was the most expensive latte that I have ever bought and one of the worst. As others have said, it was painfuly slow even though there were only a couple of other people in the store ordering. The person that made my order obvisouly had no experience and the person teaching her wasn't looking that experienced either. I asked for a 16 oz latte with an extra shot and got one that was weak. From observing the process, it appeared that they had no clue regarding tamping, etc. I think the espresso ended up not being brewed properly. The taste was not only weak but similar to the garbage served where amateurs make drinks with beans that have been out for months too long. I will NEVER go back. That's too bad because it was a good place in my past pre-covid experiences. However, the bakery part of the store was awesome.
