Staff is rude and customer service non existent. I was seated at the bar and they didn’t offer to take the drink to us though we were seated 5 steps away. They kept yelling the order. Pastries are not fresh. Coffee is not so great.
I have been here a few times and had decaffeinated Americano with half and half steamed. Theirs is the best I have had compared to other coffee shops. It looks good and tastes even better.

I enjoy going here to sit and write, get some work done, or read. The layout is pretty open, with bar seating along the walls and outdoor seating on a small patio. Since the seating is spaces and there isn't a ton, the place never gets too loud or rambunctious. It is less a hang out and more of a grab-and-go type of coffee shop. That said, each time I've been, there has been one or two other people there to get work done as well, and there is a constant flow of customers in and out. I normally go for a traditional Italian macchiato, which they make deliciously. I've had their latte and various other drinks from them and have not been disappointed yet! They have a very cute collection of reusable mugs for people dining in, which is my favorite! They even make the cute little leaf design on top of your drink. Ideology also offers a selection of pastries. Last, but not least, every barista or worker I've met has been incredibly lovely. Definitely would recommend!
You know that feeling you get after a really good sip of coffee? Well, if you have not experienced that good feeling, I highly recommend you come check out Ideology Coffee. After a terrible breakfast from another restaurant, my husband and I just needed some coffee because you know, coffee makes everything better! We came across Ideology Coffee and decided to try them out. It’s a really cute minimalistic coffee shop located on the busy Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks. My husband got a drink called the Raft (I think it was a seasonal drink) and I went with my usual iced vanilla latte. Man were they delicious! I’m so happy we checked them out. I will definitely be coming back if I’m in the area to grab a cup of Joe. Thank you ideology for making my day much better.
The coffee is delicious but the customer service is non existent. I’m thankful that they actually deigned to make our beverages. I understand why a restaurant has a pick up and drop off point. But when your establishment is dead and your customers are at the counter facing the service area and you tell them to pick up their order, I find that ridiculous. Take the 5 steps and deliver it. Be kind. Be obliging. It wasn’t just what they told us to do, but how they said it. The chastisement continued when we put our cups in the wrong place before leaving, instead of them being grateful that we didn’t just walk out the door. If they think they are training us for a return visit, they are mistaken. With only metered street parking and the attitude of the 2 people behind the counter, I can assure you we will never return to this place.

The coffee is so rich and tasty. I get the cappuccino which is so good, it’s hard to drink Starbucks after that. It’s quality coffee with lovely baristas.
This place really is all about the coffee. It's a minimalist design (which I like) with not a lot of clutter, including too many tables or chairs. Def rec the outdoor patio. Place is very dog friendly as well, they even have free dog treats! I got a Flat White which was well prepared and had the expected texture and coffee to milk ratio. It also seems like they roast their own beans here!
Coffee is divine and prices are good! Will definitely be coming back. Got a plain iced americano and I was not disappointed!
