Great outdoor terrace with fire pits, good coffee and food, unique items on the menu. A great place for networking meetings or just enjoying a goodconversation under the shaded patio

We tried several lattes, including the Mexican mocha, and honey lavendar latter. I also really like the gluten-free pumpkin zucchini muffin.

This place has the best chai and London fog I have ever had. The people in my group that drink coffee loved it here. One of the best coffee shops around.

The best place in San Marcos - North County San Diego for their coffee, tea and menu options! The staff is the friendliest you’ll ever meet. They have the most beautiful patio options for dining outside with shade even on a warm day and inside is equally amazing. Giving my highest recommendation to Ascend Coffee Roasters!

I loved how cozy it feels. lots of tables to sit at inside and outside. i got the early bird breakfast burrito (with regular scrambled eggs instead of egg whites) it was good but needed some seasoning

Emmaculate service and amazing food! The view of double peak is incredible and there's nothing that can top sipping on a latte under the shade of tree, chewing on a california burrito and reading a good book. I highly recommend stopping by any time of the day. The employees remember your name and greet you at the door when you walk in. It feels like a carefully crafted community, kind of like their carefully crafted coffee!!!

The location is nicely kept and decorated, nice vibe. This lends nothing to their product or service. When ordering my coffee, I had requested it to be extra hot. She replied that they don’t have a “protocol” for that. I asked if they had a microwave and she said she could not use that either. I can accept an answer if no, but this woman was clearly annoyed at my questions and just wanted to shut me up and move one. She made that clear when she said “I am short staffed right now, are you going to order anything? This woman doesn’t belong behind the counter if she can’t keep herself checked long enough to provide good customer service. The coffee isn’t anything to brag about either. Nothing unique or spectacular. You’re paying for their decorated walls, definitely not their service or product.

Very inviting coffee shop. Great ambience. Kid/ pet friendly. Indoor and out door seating available. There’s a beautiful fire pit outside for enjoyment with your drink. We ordered the iced brown sugar macchiato, iced vanilla latte, banana bread and lemon muffin. The brown sugar macchiato has the brown sugar and espresso shots steamed together… great flavor. Drinks were delicious. Prices average. Pastries were good. They not only coffee and pastries but smoothies and food- breakfast burritos, avocado toast; açaí bowls.

This is a little hidden gem! Great coffee. Great breakfast. Ambiance can’t be beat! There’s a little fire pit. Feels like you’re in the countryside just off the freeway. Bonus that is woman owned!

Nothing short of spectacular what ASCEND has done with their store and coffee brand. I've tried every coffee flavor they have, and can honestly say I recommend them all. Don't miss them next time you're in San Marcos.

This place has a nice outdoor seating area. They have a lot of options for coffee and food. I wish they had matcha. The portion size for the burrito I got was small and pricey but it was good.

3 weeks ago this place had a large food menu with some of the best food I've ever had. now it's under a new name and all it has are white people burritos and a suffocating corporate atmosphere

Solid coffee shop. Really good Latte and eats. Friendly service that was attentive. Low key atmosphere that invited you in to sit down for a cup or two.

I really love the atmosphere but wish the baristas were trained a little more on how to make lattes, I’d love to get good coffee here where the milk is properly frothed, poured and not burning hot. That being said I’m excited to try their new menu items and there really is no other coffee house that’s as cozy to get some work done!

Chai tea latte was tasteless, and a friend said the regular coffee she had tasted stale.
