Tiny overpriced bagels. The lox is overwhelmingly salty. Coffee is very mid. Gets an extra star for a large space

April 2023: Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed a tuna melt sandwich on a sesame bagel 🥯. It was delicious. April 2022; Love their bagels. I come here way too often. But the bagels are one of the best in the Bay Area.

I recently visited Daily Driver and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The coffee was outstanding - I opted for a classic black coffee, and it was easily one of the best cups of joe I've had in a while. The bagel and cream cheese were also a hit - the cream cheese was perfectly whipped and the bagel was toasted just right. What really caught my attention, though, was the wide selection. They have an impressive variety of bagels and spreads, and the coffee menu is just as extensive. And if that wasn't enough, there is ample space to sit and enjoy your food and drink. The environment is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to catch up with friends or get some work done. Speaking of getting work done, the wifi is super fast - another major plus. All in all, I highly recommend Daily Driver for anyone looking for a delicious cup of coffee, a tasty breakfast, and a comfortable place to hang out.

This is a great place to get stuff done. Bring your laptop, jump on wifi, and get to work, just for the price of a cup of coffee. The staff were fast and very friendly. There is plenty of seating and lots of natural light. The coffee was good with many other food and drink options. The only down side was the parking situation and they close at 2:00pm on weekends. If you don’t mind walking a bit or plan to be there all day then parking a few blocks away or paying $20 for daily parking will not be an issue.

An excellent place to have breakfast/lunch, then hunker down to do some work. As many have mentioned, the space is really big with tables and couches on the second floor. The bagel sandwiches were delicious, quite hefty. And the coffee was fantastic! Only negative was that the machine was down when we were there and service was not on top of things (likely because of it). The cashier kept forgetting details about our order, then forgot to make our food (took a very long time). Still, it’s a cool vibe and a great place to have in your pocket for a coffeeshop workday.

Delicious bagels and cream cheese(s) including a goat one. Lovely ambience- so modern and airy. Very friendly staff. There’s a child play area, a second floor to work or people watch from above, and delicious coffee. What a great neighborhood find!!

Not that great and definetly not worth the price. $16 for a bagel that was very small and not all that good. Looks to be a coworking space upstairs, but people stay for a while so Goodluck finding a seat. I don’t think I will be coming back, but hopefully you have a better experience than we did

I asked for a bacon egg and cream cheese and was told the kitchen can’t mix the egg with the cream cheese - I laughed, the entire line behind me did the same and left.

The space is lovely: I like the industrial vibe. Beside this, the bagels are really good: crispy on the outside and tasteful. I had a BEC and a Gravlax and both were delicious. I also loved the fact that I could have a nice breakfast on a Saturday morning without having to stay in line.

The bagels are small but delicious. The space is very large so it’s popular for working / group meetings. The jalapeño cream cheese was too spicy for me. So I also got some plain cream cheese and I’m going to mix them together and achieve the perfect heat level We got there at the end of the day right before 2 o’clock and there were not a lot of bagel Flavors left, but still it was a fun place and I would go back. It would be nice if they had a sign that indicated what flavors were left because the person at the counter seemed a little confused. I loved the stack of wood in the front window that I guess is part of the woodfired flavoring of the bagels. the history of the space is told with photos on the wall, so that’s pretty charming also - and the name is very clever

I wanted to like this place but my bagel + cream cheese order was far from satisfactory. The bagel was unexpectedly small (hand for reference, and I am 5'3" and have small hands). The cream cheese was just not good. It's made in-house but the texture was grainy and flavor was one-dimensional, but some of the owner's responses make it sound like it's supposed to be that way..? The cream cheese was also spread very messily and was too salty with the bagel. The lady who took our order frowned at us the whole time which just didn't give us a nice vibe. Go try The Laundromat SF if you actually want a good bagel in SF. The one redeeming thing is that there's a lot of natural lighting and seating. It seems like a great place to sit and get some work done on a laptop.

An exceptionally bad bagel. I keep trying to like them, as they are close to work, but I’m disappointed every time. Pictured below is a bagel with “extra” cream cheese. I’m sad about these bagels.

The doctor is in on Sunday! Visited Daily Driver for the first time with 2 others and we were all glad we did. We had a chat with David & Marty and got the whole rundown on the space and the food. Great conversation and you can tell David is very passionate about Daily Driver along with being extremely intentional with his ingredients. Salmon is privately sourced and cured, milk is absurdly fresh, and coffee is roasted in house. And there's a creamery on site that doles out award winning cheese. Overall, the entire space is worth exploring. About the food. I ordered the Gravlax sandwich on an everything bagel. There was not a bad bite: fresh crisp cucumbers and red onion, the right amount of acid from the capers, buttery salmon, and a creamy layer of dill cream cheese to hold it all together. The bagel itself was airy with a good crust, and let me be upfront here: while the style varies from the NY style bagel textures I grew up with, I much prefer this bagel for a sandwich. You can bite through the whole bagel without the fillings squeezing out the sides! Not pictured is the half B.E.C. that disappeared rather quickly. Fluffy egg, very well cooked crispy bacon, and a slice of mildly sharp cheese. You can't ask for more in a breakfast sandwich. Very happy with our choice to stop in and will be a go to spot next time I visit.

Amazing experience! The bagels, the cream cheese, the eggs, the coffee, the space, the people. I can't say enough good things about Daily Driver. It's worth a trip!!

I got 6 bagels. They are delicious with the right chewiness and a good crust. These are the closest I've tasted to a NYC bagel. Service is quickly and friendly.

I was craving some NY bagels and off I went to satisfy my craving. The bagels were $3 each which I thought was on a hight note but I have not had bagels in very long time so maybe I am out of touch w prices of bagels but maybe not becasue you can buy an entire baguette for little over $3 so that being said I would say they were rather small for the price. I found them to be bid dense as well. They have array of different kinds so you will find one that you will like but keep in mind that they are not very fluffy. I will continue my NY bagel search tho.

Advertises that they are open 7 days a week from 8am-2pm. I went WAY out of my way to go to the Dogpatch location. Arrived at 11am and the industrial door was closed. Tried calling but there's no way to reach them at either location on the phone. The Dogpatch phone says to go online and write an email, OR you can press 3 to be transferred to the Ferry Building location. Tried that several times; the line was busy. Today I tried again twice to reach the Ferry Building. The outgoing message said "this call cannot be completed." Then I rang the Ferry Building location directly and the call just dropped. I specifically wanted to buy the butter but there's no way to order that online. Are you guys going out of business? Sure seems like it ...
