Let me start by saying this was the BEST clam chowder I have ever had! Hearty and delicious are the words I would use for the starter and the entree that I had. Seafood stew and fish trio were amazingly fresh and tasty.

Creative seafood restaurant near the Castro. Unusual twists on cocktail standards. Don't sit on the closed in patio (probably nice in good weather).

This is a totally delightful and unpretentious place. The grilled artichoke is fantastic and their cioppino is the stuff of dreams (it’s “fish stew” at lunchtime and doesn’t have the crab legs). I will say the fish special (halibut) was surprisingly pricy, though.

I visit the Castro from NOLA several times a year and this is the first place I go as soon as I arrive! The Salmon BLT is the most AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS sandwich I have ever had. I eat there every single day when in town. Lovely atmosphere and wonderful service! I tell everyone about this restaurant and the Salmon BLT! There is NOTHING better!!!

They are effectively stealing from their patrons by secretly adding an arbitrary fee of $2.50 per person that should have been included in the menu price. Also, unlike everywhere else in America, the non-alcoholic soda drinks are quite expensive and do not come with free refills. They will keep refilling your cup and charge you $3 each time without you knowing. It was good food, but just know that this restaurant is basically stealing from you

Popped in for a quick cocktail, and sat outside. GREAT for Castro Street Fair people watching. Get the seafood stew. Amazing.

Came here to celebrate an anniversary. Everything was ok except there were some flies flying around our table.

Catch was a great surprise! Quiet Wednesday night and I was out to catch up with a friend. We sat next to the fireplace, had a wonderful server who was attentive, but not intrusive. The berry lemon drop was amazing. Had a nice zin with dinner of French onion soup (delicious!) and risotto. My friend had the tuna tartare and fish and chips. Dessert was raspberry panna cotta and a creme brulee. It was a lovely dinner and I will happily go back. On a side note, the restroom was spotless.

If they were to up their game just a bit, this would be a great restaurant. Too many minor flaws

An amazing experience in so many ways on Christmas Eve ‘22. Why not a 5? How can a restaurant not have enough champagne flutes for such a big week? And when I asked about why my champagne was served in a white wine glass, I was told “we are out of flutes but, on the bright side, you get a better pour this way. Boo. That was not the right answer. so she said she would get the next 2 available. Sure enough she returned with 2 flutes filled with champagne…and charges us for 2 more glasses of bubbly. That felt passive aggressive. But not as much as the mysterious glass of Pinot that was added to our tab. Just a mysterious $12 that felt like a FU. We still LOVED the Christmas Eve experience and would definitely return.

We enjoyed lunch for four. The artichoke appetizer was a fantastic beginning to a great meal. The salmon over the risotto was delicious.

A great seafood place in the Castro. Always nice menu choices, with an interesting daily special or two. The cioppino is great and generous. Fun to eat shared with a salad. Full cocktail bar in case you want a break from iced tea and wine. You can dine indoors with fabulous decor, outside in nice intimate parklet cubbies, or on the patio with a fireplace or open air windows depending on the weather. Good date place inside and friends place towards the street, cause your best friends walk by on the street.

The seafood itself was really good, but the other components of the entrees weren't that good. I liked the salmon, cod, and croquettes, but not the brussel sprouts, udon or broth. The food wasn't that bad, but overpriced for the quality

Excellent cuisine. Loved the ginger mint meatballs. The special was halibut and it was scrumptous. The wait staff was great. Loved everything. It is pricey, but worth every cent.

This is THE spot in SF for quality seafood. Highly recommend if you’re in town and are craving good and delicious eats. The ambience is also amazing and the service is top notch.

Wife and I have been coming to this wonderful restaurant for brunch for many years, and we never tire of our favorite dish, the grilled salmon on risotto. For brunch they always have room even on Saturdays and Sundays, and the food and service are delightful. We have been less frequently for dinner but are well pleased when we do go, and the piano performer who is sometimes above the dining room on a cleverly designed ladder loft is a wonderful addition to the evening ambiance. We always take any visitors who come to see us in San Francisco to have brunch here with us at least once. Update: just today we took two new friends to brunch and they each sampled the grilled salmon and thought it was great. The service remains exceptional and never a wait for a seat. Our enduring favourite!
