Such a nice family owned business. Classic music and good Wi-Fi. Delicious drip coffee and cappuccino.
Its 745pm and the place is closed even though posted hours are until 8pm
Can't comment on the drinks or service, I've only bought beans here over the course of about half a year. Unfortunately they aren't in the business of roasting any of their coffee lightly. I've asked a few times now for the lightest roast they had, hoping for better, and got a medium-dark city or full city roast. Columbian: Roasted pretty dark, full-city. Bit of a burned ashy flavor. Not much going on there Espresso blend: Mix of city and very dark, almost french roast. Had some character brewed as drip, couldn't get the bitterness out when pulling espresso, I think the blend was too spread out for actual espresso Guatemalan: About as light as I could get, still a city roast and was showing oils. Probably the best of them, has some nuttiness and retained a small amount of acidity I tried the french roast for a laugh. Wouldn't recommend Overall, if you are into dark or medium-dark roasts, you can probably squeak out good coffee by asking for the lightest beans they have on hand. The price, 8 for 8oz isn't terrible to try a few either. If you're into light bodied coffee, this ain't it
Amazing coffee and great service.
Sweet lil place with lots of beautiful smiles. The cafe owners and workers were so kind.
Great place awesome coffee.
Looks like family run coffee shop. ☕️ is ok. I like the scone. Looks like many regulars who just go behind the cashier to refill coffee. Looks like 2 stores in one place.
I love the bulletproof coffee!! Family owned business. Excellent service and atmosphere!
I have visited this cafe since I was 15 years old. I'm almost 30 now. This is a great place.
Came here for a coffee and a snack. I don’t know if it’s me but I definitely had trouble getting my order in, perhaps it was a language barrier. I asked for types of bagels available and didn’t get a proper answer. The store was operated by Asian folks. Regardless, We ordered the cafe Borgia and red espresso latte. Service was definitely slow but the coffee was good. The place also had a lot of ice cream options. M there’s a mismatch in the name of the shop and what they offer for sure
Super friendly worker in a cute little shop. Definitely come back and visit. Their iced coffee is spot on 👌
Love!! The coffee is roasted onsite. The coffee is spectacular. Best place I’ve found since I’ve lived here. Try the toffee or vanilla latte. Hot or cold!!!
Tried Plantation today. Danish pastry OK but the espresso was very bitter and showed they have no idea how an espresso is made. If you want an even average quality espresso, do NOT go the the Plantation.
Coffee tastes like all other coffee, nothing special. Owner makes a pointed effort to be overtly rude to me every single time I have come in, without failure. I always smile, say hello, ask "how are you?", and he makes a concerted effort to pretend he doesn't see me, stares at the counter, and smacks his lips in discomfort at my presence, while he takes my order and acts annoyed. Every other employee has been very kind, so the owner's particularly prejudiced attitude is a disappointment.
In all of downtown San Carlos, there are about a few places that sell coffee and ice cream, but there is only one place that serves both! I really admire the fact that the owners get up really early and start roasting their own beans on the premises. It's one of the few special places in San Carlos that I can get freshly roasted coffee beans. On the ice cream side, they serve Marianne's ice cream straight out of Santa Cruz. Any alumni of UCSC will tell you that this is the best ice cream in that area. Once again you don't get a lot of vocal creameries anymore and it's one of the few where you can get it by the scoop or prepacked to take home! While I am a big fan of Mitchell's ice cream, I don't have to drive to San Francisco to get a good quality pint.
Very delicious Cafe Latte with a Ham & Cheese Everything bagel. Nice spot to come and visit.
Lavender flavor icecream is sooo good. House blend coffee no sour taste at all just the way I like it!
Low quality coffee, it felt like it was burnt. I couldn’t drink it. I don’t recommend their espresso and latte
Wonderful neighborhood coffeeshop and a great place to bring your kids. They roast coffee every week (on Sunday's I think). Highly recommend this for families and anyone wanting to get away from a corporate chain.
I ordered an espresso with vanilla and blueberry ice cream. It was super delicious 😋
