This was an absolute pleasure, just found it on Google Maps, was getting hungry and still had a couple of hours of driving. Its a small place, but let me tell you, the food was fantastic. Had the taco special, wasn't sure what I was going to get, but they were the best tacos I have ever had. The service was second to none, If you are in this area, make sure you stop in. You will not be disappointed!!!
Hospitality at its finest! Very warm welcoming and quick service. I ordered a breakfast burrito w spicy salsa and it was super super good! I will definitely detour just to eat here at any time I’m traveling south.
Excellent service and great food here. If you are on you way to San Francisco and happen to stop by San Ardo this is the place to go!!
My friends were in need of a pit stop and I was drooling over pictures. This place hit the spot. Gregarious service, delicious food! I split the birria plate with 4 tacos and consomme with my friend and her husband had the chile verde burrito so large he had to save the other half for later. We will definitely return.
We stopped by on a road trip and we're pleasantly surprised. We got the carne asada nachos and carnitas nachos. Both were super delicious and absolutely loaded. He uses actual nacho cheese too opposed to melted shredded cheese. We got the food to go and it was packaged well so we had no spillage in the car. The bathrooms were also very clean. Really nice place and food.
Quality service, fast serving time, delicious quesadilla, very nice staff
Saw that they had boba and was intrigued. I enjoyed the small town feel, the friendly and funny staff, and the best crinkle cut fries I've had. Key info is that normally I hate crinkle cut fries, but I enjoyed these (crispy, salty, flavorful). My partner saw the bag of frozen fries in the back by the restroom, so I don't know what kind of magic they performed. Service was fast, food was good but nothing special (we both got burgers). I asked my partner, who is actually boba-qualified, for his boba review and he said "sub-par, but glad they had it". The actual boba itself was a good texture, but it was $7 for muted flavor. If you want a more interesting lunch stop than In and Out and you have 45 minutes, this place is a good time. Oh and they have breakfast all day and good hot sauce options (yucateco).
Just the nicest people Good food Friendly town
Stopped there during a road trip. Service and food is top notch, even though the interiors are not fancy. We ordered multiple veg and chicken tacos, chicken super quesadillas and a chicken sandwich, plus coffee. The food was super tasty. It was mentioned that the restaurant has recently changed owners. Coincidentally the owners have an awesome sense of humor and kept cracking jokes for us. Definitely a must visit if you’re passing around that place.
Great food awesome staff
the cafe sanArdo good place to eat .had a torta chicken with Fry's 👍and 😉 take out.
After driving 3 hours without seeing a single place to stop we stumbled onto the san ardo cafe and we were extremely lucky to do so. The gentleman who worked there was really nice. The service was on point and the food was delicious. I went with the Carne asada tacos and they were truly some of the best I've had. Definitely recommend if you catch yourself in San Ardo.
Fantastic breakfast burrito! Maybe the best one I’ve had ever and I’ve had a lot of breakfast burritos.
Stopped here on a road trip and it was incredible. Delicious homey cooking for cheap prices. Great place to stop for a meal while on the road.
Très bon rapport qualité-prix et accueil formidable et plein d'humour! Parfait pour faire une halte sur la route Merci encore!
I have been driving from Santa Barbara to the Bay Area for over a decade and I've never stopped here, instead choosing to go to innout. I will not be making that mistake again (unless I'm traveling late at night) The San Ardo burger (cheese burger with fried jalapenos) made me cry tears of pain and joy. The vibes are great too, love the rural small town atmosphere and the owner is super friendly. Oh...and they have boba!
I will never pass this place by.. amazing food
Great little spot the jalapeno burger is awesome
Excellent food. Great place to stop on a road trip on 101. Had fish tacos with a simple sauce that was perfect. The wife was able to get bean street tacos that she'd been craving for miles. Thank you for being the best stop on our road trip. Definitely making San Ardo Cafe a required stop on our road trips on the 101.
