Edwin's is the best coffee shop around. Edwin himself takes his time to make the perfect cup for every coffee he makes. He provides excellent service. The pastries he sells are the best pastries ever, and that's coming from a baker. I believe his ...mom? makes them. The vibe in his shop is always comfortable and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I'm very confused. I have lived in the neighborhood housing Edwins for 5 years and always passed by on my daily walks. I always wanted to give it a try as I love giving ma and pa small businesses my business. Wow . Shock and confusion was all that consumed me when I finally visited the local coffee spot. Firstly , there was no menu to be seen and the inside was a hot mess. No one helped my mom and I navigate through this confusing establishment. I had no idea what to order. It was 11 am on a Sunday and the place was way under staffed for how "busy" it was. People kept cutting us in line and not one staff member helped us or even acknowledged our presence. Thus, we decided to walk out. Extremely disappointed 😞 please help your new/green customers Edwin. Being a fellow small business owner myself , I was deeply saddened. You can do much better. Unless the owner makes some serious improvements I would just go to Starbucks if I was you.

TL;DR: Espresso is delicious; Edwin is the nicest guy on the planet; do not come here if you are in a hurry - it’s just not that kind of place. I am a long time coffee addict who of course spends way too much money on daily (or more…) trips to ‘Bucks and ‘Bean. I have bought a few of the WalMart type espresso machines only to always be disappointed and default back to drive-thrus. After months of researching I finally bought an expensive machine with an integrated grinder and was terribly disappointed to pull disgusting espresso, either over pouring or over extracting and all around blech. Dr. Google said the issue was the beans and that I needed freshly roasted. I was skeptical but cautiously optimistic and the beans from Edwin did the trick! A perfect grind and pour on the first try.. like it was meant to be. I am in heaven. We also had the pleasure of Edwin preparing drinks for us when we bought the beans and he was a delightful gentleman who aims to please. Plus our raspberry scone was delicious!

I went to Ed's when I had a question about coffee. He recommended a couple and I found one of the best coffee's I've ever had. Homey and fun place to hang out. The pastries are delicious.

A great, quality owner/operator coffee roaster/brewer! The pastries are great, plenty of cozy spots to sit inside and outside.

Stopped by on my way to work. There aren't a whole lot of options outside Starbucks and Peet's in the area so when I spotted Edwin's, I had to stop and check it out. Locally owned and operated, roasting is done in small batches, on-site, the same way it's been done for over 25 years. I had a cappuccino and a blueberry muffin (fresh baked daily on site) at around 7:30-8am. By the time 10am rolled around I was back in the car returning to Edwin's to buy some beans to take home. One of the best cappuccinos I've had in a long time, and the muffin was to die for! I haven't tried the beans at home yet, but I would gladly wager they will not disappoint! I'll be back for sure and recommend checking it out if you love coffee

The coffee is off the charts good and rhe baked goods, don't get me started. Edwin has a great personality and wit. A trifecta if there ever was one. Love this hidden gem. So grateful he made it through the tougher days of COVID!

My favorite coffee shop! He roasts his own beans and that makes for an AMAZING cup of coffee! Edwin's Mom makes the BEST scones and pastries.( They do NOT compare to any other I have ever had) He is closed Monday and Tuesday so plan ahead!

I decided to try Edwin's today when I noticed the sign on my morning hunt for coffee and breakfast and I was not disappointed! The gentleman who helped me (I'm guessing it was Edwin himself, but I'm not 100% on that) was very nice and knowledgeable. He was patient in answering my questions and made everything to order. I ordered a breakfast sandwich along with my white chocolate mocha and it was actually made fresh! Not a frozen, premade sandwich that was quickly heated to scorching levels! It tasted homemade! Sure, the interior isn't the newest, but that's not why I go to a coffee house, so it didn't bother me. Edwin's is truly Rocklin's hidden gem and I'm happy I found it. I will be returning for sure!

Edwins coffee and Edwin himself are freaking awesome. A Starbucks barista suggested going there a few years ago because in his opinion, they have the best white mochas in town. He was not wrong. I live in south Sacramento and make the trek to Edwins at least a couple times a month, so worth it. Update, since Google is asking me if anything changed since last review, here goes: This place is still the best, I just drove another 35 minutes past countless coffee shops to come here. The quality of this place will keep me coming back again and again. Keep it up, you rock.

This is how a coffee shop should be. Delicious (and freshly roasted) coffee. Delicious homemade food. This coffee shop has been setting the bar since the mid-nineties. Edwin also roasts his own beans on-site. A really great place.
